Best place to stay in Dallas We had a wonderful stay at the Melrose! Room was spacious, super clean and beautiful ! Ambiance in Lobby and restaurants was warm and in the food was excellent ! The live music in the Library bar was spectacular, and Gene and Rosa were incredible —waited on us even when we sat in the lobby!! So personable ! Can’t wait to come back!! Also there was a man who worked in the Landmark restaurant, who took time to show us around and tell us the hotel’s history—long time Melrose employee who loves being there and visiting with guests.

Dishonest and Untrustworthy Staff I checked in with no issues. Once I got my belongings into the room, I decided to leave to get something to eat. I was gone for just a couple of hours. I came back and found my room looking like it had been ransacked. Cabinets and drawers opened, safe opened, cushions overturned...I thought someone had broken in because it clearly looked like they were looking for something. I reported it to the front desk. They informed me the prior guest supposedly had told them he left his laptop in the room. The hotel took it upon themselves to search my room WITHOUT MY CONSENT. They said they called the room and when no one answered, they went in. Mind you, they had my cell phone number AND my email. They could have easily called me if they really wanted to. And I would have definitely told them no. You're not entering my room and going through my belongings without me there. The staff told me they didn't touch my belongings, but I knew this was a lie. I had placed one of my strobelights (photography equipment) and stand in the corner of the sitting room area. It was well out of the way because I didn't want to knock it over myself. One of the things I noticed was it had been moved to the table and missing its battery. When I put in my back-up battery, I found the light was not working! So clearly they damaged it while moving it when it should not have been touched in the first place. Not only that, upon further inspection, I also found that my bluetooth speaker was missing. I purposely moved those items from my car to my room while I got something to eat because I didn't want something to happen to them while I was eating. Instead, something happens to them in my room that's supposed to be secure. I immediately asked to speak to the manager. I was told that is Alma Leon. I was told she wasn't working but would be in the following morning. The following morning I asked to speak with her and was again told she wasn't working and would be in the following morning. I don't know who to believe point because of the dishonesty that had already taken place up to this point. It's important to point out that I didn't even spend the night in my room. After having the knowledge that they would enter without my consent , break my equipment and steal other items, I did not feel comfortable staying there. There was no telling what they would try to do while I was sleeping. I instead spent the night at a friend's place. I'm genuinely surprised because my last stay at the Warwick years ago was very pleasant. I don't know if it's new management that allows some unsafe and dishonest protocols or what, but that was not the case this time. I'm looking forward to hearing from Warwick Melrose to make this situation right.

Something different If you are looking for something different and old-fashioned glamour, this is the hotel for you. If you are looking for a place to rest in silence, then this is not the hotel for you I had a huge room and it was beautiful. The air conditioning was making a lot of noise though. The windows were also really thin, so it sounded like the windows were open. The noise from the fire station and the airport was disturbing during the day, but not at night. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, as well as a shop. Room service and restaurant at hotel. The pool is heated.

Worst Customer Service Worst customer service! Upon arrival mid afternoon no bellhop was present nor were there luggage carriers provided. Stumbling our way to check in we were checked in with no concern for my daughter and I trying to manage bags. Entering my room was a surprise one king bed. Had check in notified I wouldn’t have had a surprise. I called downstairs was told we sold out your rooms and offered a cot. No one wants to sleep on a cot to which I shared such comment eith reception. 30 min later housekeeping brought a cot _ I asked for a manger told they would call me the next time. When I went downstairs asking for manager told they were off today. I cancelled the rest of my nights stay and found great service elsewhere.

Go somewhere else! would give zero stars if I could. Our reservation was canceled or never executed by either the hotel or trip advisor that we booked from with no warning or explanation. We drove in Friday evening and got to hotel and the informed me there was no reservation for me and no rooms available and made absolutely no effort to help us find alternative accommodations. When we reached out for assistance, the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive, acting as if it was our problem to deal with. Their lack of professionalism and customer service was shocking. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being stranded without a room and treated with complete disrespect. It was a younger man and older lady at front desk and when I asked for help to get my car from valet and reload bags as I’m trying to figure out where to stay, they told me to walk outside and tell valet. Very unprofessional. Find another place!
