Americas Best Value Inn Gettysburg

Needs repair. See the room first. In room 107, the toilet leaked from the bottom when you lean back. The bathroom ceiling over the tub leaked from the room above when they took a shower. Found fruit flies in the bathroom. After we turned on the air, I started coughing within 30 minutes. Granted, I did not contact the office to ask for a new room because my son was feeling so sick (from something he ate - we think) that he thought he couldn’t move. For over 100 per night, this place was not worth it.

Great Management & NCSE (Nice-Clean-Safe-Economical)! NCSE (Nice-Clean-Safe-Economical)! It's gives you a very good feeling to stay at a place that is NCSE...just make traveling more fun! This motel is very clean and well maintained and the owner/manager was very polite, courteous, sincere and professional at all times during our stay. My wife and I are retired and this is the type place that checks off all the "must have" boxes and helps to keep us within our budget. Note...a breakfast would have been nice but all other aspects made up for it and there were 2-3 fast food chains within walking/driving distance. I would recommend it to my friends and relatives and would stay there again in the future. Also, it was so nice/clean, it might be worth driving 15-20 miles out of the way just to stay there.

Pleasant Stay in Gettysburg I booked this lovely little motel based on price..was going to be spending a couple days in Gettysburg. I was so pleasantly surprised...the motel outside is clean and well kept. No smoking signs prominently displayed. This is an older place, so I was just hoping for nice and clean. It WAS! the room also boasted soft towels, nice pillows, fridge and microwave, desk, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, etc. I would recommend it to anyone who, like me, needs a moderate accommodation. The people were lovely, also.

Bugs, bugs, and more I do not know how this hotel received all the “Choice” awards displayed in their office. The only positive thing is the caretaker is a nice man and the front office staff. Hot shower and cold AC. However, the room was infested with stink bugs and roaches. First room I got, stink bugs were crawling on the beds and light fixtures in the ceiling. I complained and got a different room, but still the same problem. Stuck here until I leave Gettysburg, but dread coming back to my room bc it’s gross and disgusting coming back to bugs in the room. Stink bugs can bite and leave red rashes on the skin. As well as their “smell”. This place is worn down. I woke up in the middle of the night to find a roach running across the tv. I did consider sleeping in my car after that. However, for a 2 star hotel, there are other 2 star hotels in the area that have better reviews. This place needs to be fumigated. It’s awful.

Great for an overnight stay or longer We usually stay closer to the battlefield, but we were only staying one night, and didn't want to pay alot more money. The hotel is very nice with a big room and very clean. Close to a Walmart and Dairy Queen and other stores and gas station. Going back again and staying there this month (August).
