Perfect Family Getaway — Amazing Value & So Much Fun for Teens! We had such a great stay at Great Wolf Lodge! It’s truly one of the best family resorts for both fun and value. The water park alone kept us busy for hours, and my teenager had an absolute blast—from racing down the slides to lounging in the wave pool. There are tons of activities geared toward older kids too, like the arcade, MagiQuest, and the ropes course, which made it easy for them to have independence while still staying safe on property. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the food options made it easy to grab a quick bite between adventures. For everything that’s included, it’s honestly a great value for families. We left with so many memories and can’t wait to come back!

Great Wolf Lodge- Worth Every Penny! Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine is always a great experience for our family. We have been going for years, and year after year, my kids still ask to go back to school(beg really). They love the waterparks and all the activities on site. I love how clean it is and how it is a great value for our money, with 2 days of waterparks included in every 1-day stay. Being GF, I love that there are food options that I can eat (that actually taste good!) The rooms are the perfect size for our family and are worth the cost. Always a safe place to be with tons of staff and trained lifeguards. Grapevine, TX, Great Wolf Lodge is perfect for a family vacation or staycation.

Employee Theft Without our knowledge various employees were entering the room. One was caught by a kid who was undressing. I filled a security report. That is how we knew of the other employee entrances and GWL policy against it. Later, as we were packing up to leave we noticed our belongings missing. After four hours of runarounds which felt more like waiting us out (my keys were gone too), I called the cops to file a report before departing the premises. Noting, I had requested to file a police report 2 hours previously and GWL never followed through. During this four hours of waiting on my son's birthday with a group of young teen boys, they could only conclude that I never entered with my purse/satchel. Not sure what ID they saw when I checked in. When I offered to identify it on surveillance they told me that was against their privacy policy. The cop was there for less than 2 minutes to get my statement and a random employee angrily ran up and threw it at me. GWL did nothing. This place is ripe for employee theft. Families leave personal belongings in the room as everything including money is on your wristband. And, there is so much hustle and bustle, most people likely leave before discovering items missing. Noting, they wouldn't even check if it had been turned into security or lost and found without filing an online report first. I probably would have had to leave if my keys hadn't been taken too.

Horrible Service though out. The service was horrible. When booking our stay my wife asked about dietary needs for celiac and we were told to email the chef and we would be taken care of. My wife emailed two weeks prior zero response, I then emailed one week prior zero response. We asked several people while there about the food ingredients and none of then would give us a answer and or find someone that could give us an answer. The girl at the ice cream shop just rolled her eyes and said I don't know and stood there with RBF. We had to go outside the resort to get gluten free food for our kids. We were also given a food credit for the package we bought and no one could tell us if it went to our room or the food credit very frustrating. We were given cups as part of our package that could be refilled every ten minutes but on Saturday at 2 pm they were out of ice and most sodas, by 4 pm all sodas were out. The inside pool area was filthy, stacks of pizza boxes everywhere you turned, band aids on the floor and in the water, melted ice cream in the walk ways and no one seemed to care. I will say the lady at the store where we got our cups was very helpful but that was the only person. For the price we paid it was on par with Disney! All I can say Great wolf is you need to do better!! For what you charge there is far better service out there for a better cost and value.

Bad Changes We have been coming to this location yearly since 2017. This was our first visit since the renovation last year. I'm disappointed with the makeover. It looks far too contemporary. All of the kid friendly decor has been removed from the lobby and outdoor entrance. There were practically no Halloween decorations compared to years past. New ticketing gates have been installed at the entrances/exits causing you to wait in line. A new daily parking fee exists. The newer ticketing kiosks inside had way to many hiccups also causing long lines. We didn't see any wolf characters in the lobby or buffet areas as in the past. The breakfast buffet has less options. There is no wolf howl in the wave pool indicating when the waves are coming. It's almost like the name should be changed to Great Lodge instead. I will say the room we stayed in was just fine.
