Not A Bad Place For A Layover I stayed here after JetBlue canceled my flight out of JAX. Through the Choice Hotels website I was able to find the hotel but when I went to the front desk to ask if they had availability, in-person the room was significantly more money than listed online. I asked the woman working the front desk if they could match the online Choice Hotels price and she said no, and then snapped “why don’t you just book it online then!” I did and for the price, the interior of my room was nice. It had a king size bed, which made the room feel a little small but still enough to have everything that I needed. This hotel is clustered amongst a handful of others not far from the airport. There are some local and larger chain restaurants nearby (check out the Flying Fish Taphouse down the road). Unfortunately, the hallway outside my room reeked of marijuana. The grounds of the hotel itself are a little rundown. The “breakfast” that they offer really doesn’t even qualify: there were a few yogurts, a machine that dispensed juice, and a few slices of bread you could put in the toaster. I didn’t even bother to take anything on my way to the airport in the morning. Compared to other Sleep Inns that I have stayed in across the country that had magnificent continental breakfast options, this place was sorely lacking. Overall, this Sleep Inn isn’t terrible for the price given its location from the airport and nearby food options, but if you are looking for upscale and elegant, keep it moving.

Decent Stay My mom and I stayed here overnight recently and we had a decent stay. The room was nice and clean. The bed was a little high to get into. It was a nice stay for the one night which we did stay. The breakfast selection was small, but doable since we were only staying the one night while passing through. It was raining when we got there so there really wasn’t an awning to pull under to check in and unload like most other hotels however there was an awning covering the sidewalk and front door.

Hotel Gave Out My Room Key Checked in about 10:00 in the evening and went up to the room. When I unlocked the door and tried to open it, it caught on the safety hasp and a startled young man jumped up and ran to the door. They had given me a key to an occupied room. I apologized to the man and went back to the front desk where they assigned me another room. The next morning about 9:00 I heard knocking on my door and there was a man outside claiming that the hotel had given him our room number, but he couldn't unlock it since my bolt was locked. I let the front desk know again and they apologized and said that "it was because we changed rooms." I explained that we changed rooms because they had given me an occupied room to start with. Got another apology. Pros: Room was clean and beds were comfortable, and location was good. Cons: worrying they were going to give out more keys to my room, loud guests next door both nights, slow draining sink.

Getaway We really enjoyed this hotel. Very clean and employee were super. The little pond outside was a nice addition. We were close to all the eating places and only minutes away from the beaches in jacksonville

Great Place to Spend a Night! So, having read recent reviews almost didn't book but I did, no regrets. Great room for price. Clean, front desk staff friendly. Bed comfortable and grounds very nice. If I had to criticize I think the breakfast could be a bit better but hey, we ate there. Could have gone out and spent some more money somewhere I guess. This hotel serves its's purpose, a good place to stay for a great price. Yes, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
