Almost perfect! Location was unusual as it was behind several motels. Once inside, it looked lovely and was spacious. Staff was friendly. Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was adequate with a variety of foods. Unfortunately, I did not notice that housekeeping did not take out the trash or dispose of open amenities until later in the night.

Pick somewhere else Not a great hotel experience. Room internet did not work had to switch rooms. Poor bathroom design super small and poor quality shower. Poor water pressure for toilet that can barely flush. Breakfast was the same for 3 days in a row and eggs and sausage were cold.

Mess I couldn't connect to the internet in the first room and the first night, even though I have an business meeting that night, the next day they switched my room, in the new room, I could connect but the air condition was not cold, we complained again. We wanted our room to be clean, they said they don't clean room until the third day. The third day again I could not connect to the internet again. My experience at Clarion Joliet Hotel was a total mess, they need to do a complete and total renovation, if it takes them to shut down and reopen after everything is all in better shape.

AWFUL PLACE -- DO NOT STAY If you want a dirty, smelly, roach infested, mold filled s**t hole, then this place is for you. However, if you are a more typical human, stay far far away from this place. Dirty sheets, moldy bathrooms, roaches on the floor, old food left in the freezer, and random stains. The 4th floor either had a rotting animal or a very unfortunate air freshener scent (I didn't feel the need to explore to give you a precise answer). Honestly I would have been more comfortable pitching a tent in the parking lot than sleeping in that room, I just felt dirty the entire time I was inside. I was supposed to stay for multiple nights and had to check out after one night because it was so bad. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Refused to Disclose That The Pool is Closed!!!!! We checked in after a long drive. We just wanted to have a drink and relax in the pool. Yes they have a pool. Pictures online and everything! I was so pissed to see the pool access padlocked and posted, "Closed for the Season." I immediately went to the front desk. I asked why we were not informed upon checking in, that the pool they advertise was closed. The girl stared at me. So I asked again. The girl refused to answer me. I said, "Well I thought it only fair to ask for an explanation before posting a negative review." Finally she uttered a simple, "I'm sorry." It is evident to me that the staff are instructed NOT to inform guests upon checking in that the pool is closed. They are further instructed that upon being confronted not to respond. Thus avoiding an inevitable confrontation. I was sorely tempted to sit in the lobby the following afternoon, and warning every guest, "The pool is closed, but they aren't telling anyone."
