Great stay and friendly staff. Nice rooms and very friendly staff. The concierge staff, Jacey, checked us in and she was very friendly. It’s about 40 minutes to Avery Island. Lots of great food places close by. Room cleaning was every other day. The gym was pretty nice and hotel lobby was bright and welcoming

THE PERFECT PLACE FOR A WONDERFUL WEEKEND GET AWAY OR TO HOLD YOUR NEXT LONG OR SHORT SOCIAL OR BUSINESS MEETING! My group held its annual Louisiana State meeting at the Hilton Garden Inn during the second weekend of April 2024. In preparation for our 2-day meeting, the very accommodating hotel staff worked tirelessly with us for several months to get everything exactly right and that is exactly the way the whole experience turned out. As a principal planner for the event, we (the hotel staff and I) developed menus for a Friday evening social, a Saturday morning continental breakfast for the ladies and the gentlemen arms of our group, and a perfectly wonderful Saturday evening buffet banquet. The buffet meal was attractively presented and quite delicious and the hotel staff attending to our group did not miss a beat. Absolutely nothing went wrong and best of all, I heard nothing but appreciative rave review and absolutely no complaints about the meetings, the hotel service or the hotel rooms. It was the perfect weekend getaway as well. I cannot offer sufficient accolades to describe the whole experience from the beginning of the planning process to the moment we all said "so long" to one another on Sunday morning.

Prioritize visiting football teams over guests Stayed here for three nights in October, hopefully I will never go back to Lafayette. Hallways and rooms are dark and dingy. Limited restaurant service as they had a football team from out of town staying here. That also took over the fitness center/pool. Also the local police hang out in the parking lot and try and catch visitors who leave the hotel. Was pulled over and issued a $300 ticket for "reckless driving" less than three tenths of a mile from the hotel. Have not had a traffic citation in nearly 30 years. No warning just bang a ticket. Noticed the police in the parking lot for the duration of my stay and heard similar stories from other guests. Also on game day at 7 am in the morning I went out to eat since the hotel was not offering food service so it could provide a meal for the football team. When I came back I could not enter the parking lot as they had barricaded the lot from entering traffic. Despite showing a room key security would not allow me in. Unacceptable. Hope I never come back.

Great location for business trip There are not a ton of options for places to stay in Lafayette. This was a great stay. Some HGI's can bit hit or miss and this was definitely a hit. Great upgraded, clean building and accomodations. The staff was very freindly as well. Would stay here again if I get back to this area.

Nasty outdated & smelly carpet/ furniture & LOUD plumbing from neighbors I booked a king "suite" primarily b/c it was pet friendly only to find out that I can hear EVERY single time someone turns on the sink, flushes the toilet or takes a shower. The carpet is from the 1980s and smells like food. One nasty comforter/duvet on the king sized bed. The bathroom has never been updated. Their upgraded bathroom accessories or Neutrogena. Called the desk and was told at 7:30 PM "it's OK, people will stop taking showers shortly and it won't be that bad" and that the ENTIRE hotel was like this and they couldn't move me. And one of the few times I forgot my earplugs at home.
