Day 13 of the American Adventure You couldn’t fault the welcome, which was lovely, or the room, which was modern, clean & a decent size, with a coffee machine & gorgeous bits in the bathroom. We had a great night’s sleep in a comfy bed & the American breakfast, which came with the package, was surprisingly tasty. The only problem was the location. No where near the actual lake & within walking distance of nowhere. So disappointing on that front.

Decent hotel for quick trip Stayed for one night for quick trip. Location was good and conveniently located off freeway. Request top floor room and was honored that. Top floor smelled strongly of marijuana however luckily our room itself didn’t smell of it. The beds were comfortable. Room felt clean. Other than some slight freeway noise from top corner room, hotel was quiet.

If you require an accessible room, do not come here I use a walker and require special accommodations . First room I was given had NO grab bars and a bathtub. Second room had one grab bar by toilet and none in the shower. Elevator was broken so there was no access to laundry. Not a good experience.

Not a good stay We recently stayed here and I am sad that my stay wasn’t as good as I was hoping. We booked an entire week Sunday-Sunday. Rooms were ok, bathrooms need some serious updating. The bathtub was peeling and actually cut my foot. The shower curtain would not stay in place and every time one of us would shower there was a huge puddle on the floor of the bathroom. Not to mention the drain was soo slow. I have a family of 4 and they kept giving us only 3 towels and kept having to call and ask for another towel. The pool was also freezing cold, my child couldn’t even swim, I even tried and couldn’t tolerate the temperature. I guess that’s their way of keeping kids out of the pool area. Another issue is that the elevator was out of service all week which meant we had to lug our luggage up the stairs to our room. We were in the area for a softball tournament so lugging equipment and coolers up the stairs everyday was a huge inconvenience. The biggest issue we had there was we needed to check out early not because my daughter was done with her tournament she actually stayed with friends to finish the tournament, but because we had an issue back home we had to attend to. I was told that I was going to get charged for the night we didn’t stay. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and have needed to check out early plenty of times and never have I had to pay for the additional nights. Very disappointed and will definitely think twice about staying here again.

Just so so I booked this hotel because generally speaking Holiday Inn has had a good reputation. I was a bit surprised from the onset of calling to let the hotel staff know that I'd be arriving late. The length of time on the phone answering multiple questions made me feel more like an interrogation than just calling quickly to say I'd be a late check in. Once at the hotel I was given a room on the 3rd floor and was told that the elevator was not in service. Not a big deal but just an inconvenience especially after a 15 hour journey arriving late. I would've been much more of an inconvenience if I had a lot of luggage but thankfully I was traveling light this time. The temperatures during my travel was in the triple digits so AC was a must. The AC worked fine but extremely loud and every time it turned on or off the noise woke me up. VERY LOUD SYSTEM. The bathroom tub / shower enclosure was in bad need of a redo. At one time it looks like the enclosure was painted to give it a clean look but over time has worn off making it look dirty. The caulking was peeling away just in need of a remodel. Water pressure was good and hot no complaint there. There was a 2' x 2' area in the carpet that had been patched but very obvious and subspinous looking that one could only imagine what could've caused such damage. Not appealing at all. All in all my experience was okay but for the price I'd stay somewhere else in the future.
