4 stars BUT won’t return~ Way too many dogs We’ve stayed here a few times prior to the renovations. We had connector king and queen with balcony rooms for our family of 4. Very nice and modern. Loved the decore. Very spacious esp the queen room. We stayed for 3 nights. For reference we are frequent travelers for both business and pleasure. Here are the positives for all even if we didn’t use some amenities: Easy to book online Easy check in Very nice staff Close to all things Lake George etc Good parking even with bigger SUVs etc Easy access to stairs Good a/c Comfortable beds, furniture Laundry access if needed Electric car stations Pool Snacks and essentials Breakfast Mini gym (good selection of dumbbells) Tons of outlets/usb Here are the not so positives: Dogs everywhere! I’ve seen and heard more than I would in a kennel. The smell in hallways. The barking all hours of day and night (bring a sound machine to drown it out) and the pooping and peeing outside the balcony was so nasty esp in humid weather. I am not talking service dogs here… I am talking family pets and some had 2 and 3 dogs. I will not take or post strangers photos but let’s just say I thought I was at the Westminster dog show! I could have held up score cards for all the dogs that took care of business underneath our balcony area. And just want to add that we have had dogs … and we get it but wish we realized prior to booking because no matter what you can do, the rooms smell of wet dog. Hallways smelled as well even with brand new reno. Just an FYI: No safe in rooms Bottom line: 5 stars for peeps with pets 3 stars for peeps without pets Averaging to 4 stars but unfortunately we will not return.

Get away from griefs After a period of grief, we decided to take a short getaway to the Lake George area, a place I have always enjoyed. We arrived a bit early, and our room was not yet ready. Michelle, the receptionist, welcomed us warmly and kindly informed us that we could rest in the lobby and enjoy some coffee and tea while waiting. She took my phone number and assured us that she would notify us when the room was ready. I appreciated her courteous demeanor. Upon checking in, I inquired about the refrigerator, as I had brought sandwiches and snacks for my diabetic husband. Michelle confirmed that all rooms were equipped with a refrigerator. However, when we entered the room and placed our food in the fridge, we left to enjoy the lake. Upon our return, we discovered that the food was warm, and the fridge was not functioning. Additionally, the room phone was broken, making it impossible to contact reception from our room. I went downstairs to inform the reception desk about the issues. Kristina, another staff member, was informed of the broken fridge and phone. She mentioned she would send someone to fix it while we were out enjoying the patio. Unfortunately, the fire pit outside was also not working. Upon my return to the reception desk, Kristina told me she had gone to our room but found no one there, despite my earlier request for repairs to be done in our absence. She then accompanied us back to the room, restarted the fridge, and told us to wait 20 minutes. However, she could not fix the phone. I added the reception number to my cell phone in case of further issues. Later, my husband attempted to watch TV, but it did not work either. We called Kristina again, who said the remote batteries were dead. My husband requested new batteries. By this point, I was very upset and expressed that the room should be thoroughly inspected after each guest’s stay. Kristina’s response was somewhat rude, and she began arguing, saying that guests often adjust the refrigerator settings and that the phone was beyond her control. She also mentioned that the fire pit could not be fixed due to a lack of parts and implied that the remote control issues were not their fault. While the hotel was clean and had nice amenities, the attitude of Kristina and the lack of proper maintenance significantly detracted from our experience. A simple apology and polite handling of the situation would have made a difference. Unfortunately, due to these issues, I can only rate this hotel as low quality.

Passing Through Lake George NY As a former Diamond Member for over 10 years, I have traveled the US and stayed at every category of Hilton Hotels. I've always preferred Hamptons because for me they offered the best value. Since covid, I've noticed a general drop off in the level of service and attention to detail on most of my stays. This particular Hampton although pleasingly located fell short in both. When we went to use the pool there were no towels available. The bath bottles for soap and shampoo were empty. and my morning shower was luke warm at best. I would not recommend this hotel.

Single women and families with children should beware. I made this res last Oct. In the ensuing 7 months no one informed me the hotel was an open constuction site. Some memorable features: Inadequate parking. The lot is teeming with construction equipment/vehicles. Acrid construction smells of an indeterminant origin. No pool or hot tub. They will open "tomorrow". Air quality issues due to dry wall being hung with no attempt to wall off common areas. Any completed work is subpar. Shower doors roll open. GFCI outlets routinely fail. A HUGE safety concern: No company name is visible. The workers are being housed on the 3rd floor. No one is informed of this. I was uncomfortable with single men out drinking behind company vehicles and then prowling around the hotel after dark.

Pets allowed in all the Rooms The staff is very friendly. And helpful But they now allow dogs and cats in all the rooms. No more designated rooms. The staff said they steam clean rug after an animal has been in there I am sure they steam the rugs but there will be no way to get all the dog smell , hair and dander out of room I have 2 grandchildren that are allergic to dogs. I cannot go to Hilton hotels anymore.
