Great Stay! I don't agree with some of these negative reviews. We loved our stay at Golden Nugget. Room was huge, clean, very comfortable bed and helpful staff. Conveniently located to everything downtown and we enjoyed Fremont Street experience, music and lively atmosphere. We had an amazing dinner at Andiamo Italian Steakhouse at the D. We checked prices on the strip, and they were too much. Glad we decided on downtown Vegas instead. Oh and if they say no one goes to Vegas anymore, couldn't be further from the truth. There was a good crowd midweek, and will stay here again.

What happened to Vegas? I got run of the house room when I paid specifically for a Carson tower room that I thought I was going to have a fridge in. When I asked the front desk staff about it they told me that I selected run out of the house, which I did not. The option to specifically select the Carson tower with 2 double beds was an extra 5O doll hairs a/night. Had I known the only thing my extra 5O doll hairs a/night was getting me was ensuring two double beds, I would have just booked in a nicer tower. If I was trying to save money, I would’ve booked the run of house since the only difference is you get to choose what kind of beds you get. I could care less what kind of beds I had honestly. When I checked in, the self-serve kiosk offered me a room upgrade for a little over 2O doll hairs which I declined. Once we got in the room, we saw how much of a dump it was. After finding out there was no fridge, that was the rotten cherry on top. I decided to go to the front desk and complain. The first woman that I spoke with offered me a room upgrade (same exact room with a fridge) for an additional 4O doll hairs a/night, and I was unsatisfied with this so she redirected me to her manager, who then offered me THAT SAME EXACT ROOM for 5O doll hairs MORE a/night! Unbelievable! The self serve kiosk offered me a better deal than both people that helped me! Not to mention, the manager tried charging me more than his coworker. This made me furious and do you know what they did to make up for it? Absolutely nothing. What happened to Vegas being accommodating? Nothing was comped, and nothing was made up for. Not even an apology. Rather, I was told that it was my fault for booking run of house, which I did not. I told them I will never stay there again and I mean it. The prices were ridiculous for a motel quality dump of a room. My view was also atrocious. If I woke up there, not knowing where I was, I wouldn’t even think it was Vegas! My view consisted of a parking lot and mountains. The customer is always right, especially when they’re paying TREE HUNDRID FIDDY DOLL HAIRS a night. Continue this, and you’ll be out of business soon. I recommend staying at the four Queens instead. Nicer room for a cheaper price, and you get a fridge.

Rooms are dated, service was poor This was our first time staying downtown, and it left much to be desired. We elected to stay in Carson Tower based on reviews of the noise from Fremont Street in the other towers. It was still loud enough that they leave complimentary earplugs, not a good sign. I did not hear sounds from Fremont Street during our five night stay, but I did hear dogs and cars outside, as well as running water from adjoining rooms. The decor is very worn and dated, with many, many stains on the carpet in the hallway, and the rooms and bathrooms could definitely use a refresh. There are also no refrigerators in Carson Tower rooms. However, it was still clean and comfortable. What drops my rating more is the utter lack of service. Upon checking in, you’re given the opportunity to select whether or not you want daily maid service. My husband and I selected no, so that was fine, but other friends we were with selected that they wanted it, and three days into our trip, after complaining about the lack of housekeeping twice, their rooms had still not been serviced. Additionally, I had a gift card I wanted to apply to our bill, and we were told that it wasn’t possible until 2am the morning we were to check out, when we were planning to head to the airport at 7. So my husband had to go down to the desk at 6:15 and wait behind a man who monopolized the sole desk clerk for 30 mins before he was able to apply the gift card. Similarly, one of our friends needed to extend their stay by a day, and when they inquired, they were told the hotel could “probably” accommodate them, but they wouldn’t know for sure until their original checkout date. Overall, I was really not impressed with our stay at Golden Nugget, and we’ll likely look elsewhere next time.

Would not recommend the Carson tower The room was smelly, with a bad odor which was lingering throughout the whole stay. The furniture was old, no coffee pot, no refrigerator. Would not recommend

Not your daddy's Golden Nugget 1034879057 Just returned from a stay ... Their guest services are terrible. Be careful. I received a drink while playing at a table. And the glass has a chip and slightly cut my lip... They sent security, the pit boss gave me a tissue.. but it wasn't bad. But because they needed to cover themselves...I had to fill out a form. I even joked that it was my friend's bday..how about comping a dinner maybe? The pit boss goes no we don't do that. No one even followed up..when I spoke to someone from guest management they were indifferent . At least when the Mob controlled Vegas , they showed class. Should change to customer service... No one made me feel like a guest.
