As always above and beyond! Lovely stay as always. Michael was berry kind at breakfast and offered us a pot of coffee without us asking. I found this very kind and thoughtful. Please thank him for us The supper the night before was sooooo good. Seabass, schnitzel and crispy beef highly recommended

Ok but not the best Room was clean but dark and then the lights stopped working although this was resolved. Some of the staff seemed disinterested at best but some were lovely and stand out in their jobs Mickel in the restaurant, is an absolute star, always smiling, polite and attentive à real asset to the hotel. If you had a few more of him the place would be much better! Also a comment on food, as a vegetarian/vegan i saw on the website the hotel catered to dietary requirements like these but breakfast is really minimal in terms of options and only black filter coffee, if you want a cappucino or latte for example it’s an extra £5 and you have to go to the in hotel coffee shop. It’s ok but also the evening salad in the sports bar was small and definitely over priced. It just feels very expensive and any small extras you are charged a lot for. Spa was nice but very busy as it shared with the membership gym upstairs. Overall it was ok, but for a 4* hotel it definitely doesn’t live up to the hopes you might have for somewhere in this price bracket.

Can do much better All staff very friendly, but Reception Staff and Dining Hall Manager unable to assist with request to make our evening meal slightly special for a birthday in our group. Very disappointed with that..it was like they couldn't be bothered...made no effort to even suggest a small cake or flowers on the table. Hotel very clean, with a special mention to the housekeeping staff attending to rooms 253 and 255... they paid attention to detail. The hotel's booking system caused an error for our friends...they were locked out of their room as the system had assumed they were leaving that day....the staff need to control their computer system properly. The food in the restaurant was sub-standard, apart from the burger which was really good. We had to make a complaint about the cold chips, substitution of a pork chop from a Tomahawk steak and limp vegetables drowning in milky fluid. We would go back, but would probably go for meals at the local pub, which is lovely in its setting, decor and ambiance...the restaurant there was packed, so that speaks for itself. Our other disappointment was the 'cocktails' in the main bar...they are not cheap, so one would expect to have an experienced mixologist to serve the drinks as they should be. Our two chaps had booked this hotel to play golf....9 of the 18 holes were shut off for maintenance, which was not advised in advance...they had plenty of time to do this...the boys had to play the same 9 holes twice and there was also work going on at the putting green, also not advised in advance. The best thing about our stay was the Spa...I had two treatments and have to give a big shout out to Istvan, who was friendly, kind and informative and gave me an amazing Glow facial. Apparently, the resort has just changed ownership, so we hope the new owners will pay attention to detail and make sure guests don't have to complain about things that should filter through seamlessly.

Disappointing Lovely setting but unfortunately since Covid the carvery has really gone down hill. Wouldn’t even give the roast a 3/10. Such a shame as used to be lovely with much more choice but would not revisit again. For almost £22 per person absolutely not worth the money.

Pleasant stay Lovely hotel, food in the sports bar was delicious and fresh (I had a superfood salad). Service from all the staff was exceptional, especially Mike serving breakfast. He was kind, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the gym (incredibly well kitted out) and the pool was lovely. I didn’t use the wellness suite as I didn’t get time but looked good. It was quiet at night and the beds were comfortable.
