FLETCHER HOTEL SCHEPERSKAMP

Disapointed The hotel has been renovated since my last visit. At first it gave a good impression. But, the room was not the one I booked. They gave me the key to a small suit, in stead of the large suite I had payed for. The room had some sort of stinking purfume sticks in the room. The beds weer too soft. The soap was some sort of foam, and not a gel. It was also far too smelly. The area that used to be the main resturant, was now reserved for breakfast. What used to be a very nice lounge was now the resturant. I have to admit everything was clean, and the staf were very pleasent.

Staff Location Staff The hotel itself is nice, the location is beautiful, the scenery is top notch. This review is focused towards the staff of this location. The front desk, the kitchen, the service staff. The hospitality I received from the staff during my stay was beyond any that I have ever received in the countless hotels that I've stayed in this world. The understanding and care speaks volumes to the Dutch people or just the people of this staff. I wish I had the means to show my appreciation to you all with more than kind words. Thank you for listening, thank you for caring. Don't let my decision change who you all are.

Hotel in a Woody Area As we couldn't go abroad for vacation so we found this hotel for a few days off. The hotel is located in a nice woody area. Clean room, friendly staff and good breakfast in our room. For the covid-19 prescription, we needed to make an appointment for the breakfast time. We took it from the buffet and brought it to our room. The restaurant looks a bit outdated but the middle part with the fireplace is classic, beautiful!. It's recommended for the ones who like to walk in the nature or mountain biking as the area behind the hotel is a bit hilly.

Not well maintained, but cute The hotel is really outdated and in dire need of refurbishing. Wallpaper coming off the walls, tears in the carpet, dodgy stains here and there and a smelly bathroom. Yet, it did give it its own vibe, the English bar is the coolest, and you can shoot pool, read quietly and have a drink. Drinks choices is somewhat limited, but good quality. Personnel is very friendly, though bit slow. You walk to the center of town in 20 minutes, yet get awakened by a choir of birds in the morning from the surrounding woods. In general, we were here on a deal and thus it was ok, but would have never paid the full price.

Lift not working to 1st or 2nd floor. Stayed here for 6 days. Lift not working. So had to carry our luggage up flights of stairs. Not good if frail or elderly. Condition of hotel fair. It is old and need of refurbishment. We had one day without water. The grounds could be better maintained but there was a heatwave on at the time. The rooms were very hot. The pool made up for that after you found out how to get into the pool area. The flies were very very bad. Breakfast was good. The wait staff were lovely and friendly. Very expensive to eat or drink here even water . Lochem as a town is a nice town to visit.
