Thank you for a great stay Clean, welcoming, easy to get around for a person using a cane. Lovely eating/visiting area off the lobby. Ordering breakfast ahead the night before to be ready at a particular time was great for me. Looks like 2 outdoor Patios ..one with a grill & firepit …very inviting. Easy access from the expressway & at a good price point.

hotel's reservation portal malfunctioned - owner does not care and will not refund charge On August 18, I made a reservation using Harbor Town Inn's website to stay at the Harbor Town Inn on September 23. The website kept freezing up and shutting down. Finally, the website accepted my reservation, but I did not notice that it had actually reserved my room for August 18 and not September 23, which was the date that I had repeatedly entered into the website's reservation portal. (On August 18, I was at my home thousands of miles away--I did not need a room at Harbor Town Inn on August 18.) I just arrived in Manitowoc after a long flight, expecting to sleep in the room that I had reserved using the Harbor Town Inn’s website. I was shocked when the receptionist told me that my reservation was for August 18. She also informed me that, because I had "not shown up or cancelled my reservation," Harbor Town Inn had charged me for the room on August 18. After contacting the owner, the receptionist informed me that I could have a room at Harbor Town Inn tonight, but that I would not be refunded for the money that Harbor Town Inn charged me on August 18. I asked if they could at least discount the cost of tonight’s room (since it was their defective reservation portal that had caused the erroneous August 18th reservation), but the owner refused. I was looking forward to staying at the Harbor Town Inn tonight, but since I believe that it was unfair for the owner to refuse to either (1) give me a refund for the erroneous August 18th booking that I did not want or need and that was caused by their glitchy website, or (2) give me a discount for tonight’s room, I left and stayed at another local hotel. I travel extensively, and I have never encountered such a poorly-functioning reservation portal (I should have used Travelocity or Booking.com, since their reservation systems work correctly) or such poor customer service.

Not What It Seems Paid for a room but didn't stay. Didn't seem to be what pictures suggested. Seemed to be in a sketchy area of town. I would not book online; just check the place out before you book a room to see if it n m wets your standards. My husband and I agreed to move on and look for another place despite having paid for it (too late for refund)!

Good stay at a good price Was hesitant to stay at a non-branded hotel since with “Fairfield Inn” you know what you’ll get. Glad we read reviews and booked here - especially at a lower price point. Very clean, game room with table-top shuffle board, fire pit, sitting area outside, “timed breakfast” where you order and pick up at designated time which made it hot rather than what you get at a buffet (similar food - you just don’t have to walk which is especially nice for mobility impaired guests). Room was perfect for working/resting with a desk chair and another comfortable sitting chair. Would I stay here traveling through with an active family? Probably not. Would I stay for business travel? Absolutely and the staff is so friendly you feel at home? Would I stay as a couple traveling through? Yes. Would I stay for a romantic weekend? Probably not unless price is an issue. Knowing what you’ll get is key to satisfaction. Clean, comfortable bed, included breakfast that is well above the lower tier hotels. There is no elevator that I saw so if mobility with stairs is an issue request a first floor room. Bathroom doesn’t have large counters so it’s helpful to have a hanging toiletry kit. 100% happy with our stay.
