Arabian Horse Show We were in Monroe for an Arabian Horse show. First off Alex (owner). He out helping me to park in the reserved elite parking with our big farm truck. And he offered to help unload and take our trolly with all our dog and horse clothes up to our room. Front desk staff were not only friendly but very helpful. And cheerful, which is a dying trait with workers everywhere. Like they really liked working at the hotel. Alex and Laura have made the hotel into a resort. The courtyard near the pool is tranquil and beautifully decorated. The whole hotel is warmly decorated with homey pieces nicely placed. We largely stay with Best Western, but this hotel is among the best. Thanks Alex and staff. Ceeu in July.

Cute but..... This is a cute hotel. The owners go gang-busters on decorating for the holidays. However, the sink didn't drain, the toilet needed several opportunities to flush and there was a disagreeable odor in the room (likely from the sink that didn't drain). There was black mold forming in the grout in the shower. During breakfast we wanted the code to get into the lobby restroom but no one was to be found. As we were leaving we noticed both front desk employees were taking a smoke-break together outside the building. If the owners put the same effort into maintaining the rooms as they do in their over-the-top decorating, they would be much further ahead!!

Worst customer service Don’t stay here. If the evening clerk or night auditor does not like your face they won’t acknowledge you.

Cold Showers and Cold Shoulder Management told me I was wrong when I said the hot water went off in my room several times. Could not complete showers and could not shave. They wouldn't believe a customer who'd paid them more than $500. I mistakenly left clothing items; called them immediately and described the main item. Was told how supremely difficult it was to return my shirt. Then they had the nerve to concoct a story that they'd already donated my clothes. This new cover story came to my attention a month after my stay. I only asked for a nominal $30 for the water problems--OR my Carhartt shirt back. Neither was forthcoming.

Will continue to return :D Alex has made our stay for the 2nd year a Great Experience as expected. His Fantastic Team remember their guests and truly make you feel welcome and at home. The North American Big Rigs will continue to return year after year.
