A great classic hotel This is a grand old hotel, well over 100 years old. The architecture is wonderful, and the lobby is a great place to hang out. The rooms are quite nice (at least on the "Fiesta Rewards" floor, floor 3 — I didn't see the others). The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and quite functional. There is a fridge. I wish there was a reading (ie, comfortable) chair in the room, but there wasn't — only a desk chair on casters. The restaurant did not have the most interesting menu, but the food was really well prepared — the salmon was really good! We didn't try the breakfast buffet. I couldn't figure out when the in-hotel Starbucks was open. Supposedly it opens at 8, but it wasn't the one day I checked it out. The front desk staff are very friendly and competent. Strongly recommended if you want an "old world" experience in the heart of Monterrey.

Nice, clean, comfortable Beautiful hotel, clean room, close to lots of shops and restaurants. Comfortable beds! You can walk to a shopping center and eat at a great Mexican restaurant called Las Monica's where the waitresses dress like nuns.

My go to hotel on stop over. I have stayed here several times now. Being within walking distance to the macro plaza with tons of shops, restaurants. It is a historic hotel, the staff is great, services are top notch. Comfortable beds, fluffy pillows and the food is good also. All this at a reasonable price. You will Not be disappointed.

Looks Can Be Deceiving! Beware - this hotel is in a good location and has a beautiful lobby, but looks can be very deceiving! It is an old building with very plain, worn rooms. The first night we were there the toilet broke and caused a flood in our room. Everything on the floor was sopping wet... the carpet, our shoes, our socks, anything left on the floor. They gave us a new room and promised us a one-night credit. After we didn't see the credit for a few days, we asked about it and they said the accountant was on vacation and would credit our card within a day or two. After another week, they PROMISED a credit within "just another day or two". This has gone on for a month and still no credit! I just don't know how a big hotel in an international city like Monterrey can get away with this - but I guess they can. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

Disgusting rooms Don’t be fooled by the executive suite scam. We reserved two exec suites only to arrive and them tell us they are giving us standard rooms but will not adjust the price. The lobby and out front are nice and updated. The rooms are absolutely disgusting. Large red stains in the carpet that resemble blood. Stains on the wall. The bathrooms were filthy with previous guest trash in the shower. The TV didn’t work and to top it off, there was not hot water to shower. I asked numerous times to be compensated by at the very least charging us for the standard rooms not the exec and they were not accommodating. I would never stay here or at any Gamma hotel again after this experience.
