Heaven on Earth Yesterday, my brother and I flew down to Montgomery, AL, from New York, to attend the funeral of our beloved father, John Joseph Murray, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with other family and friends. We selected the Homewood Suites by Hilton because of their strong favorable reviews on Tripadvisor which was, yet again, very accurate. I want to specifically point out the beautiful layout and decor of our suite and the grounds. It is exceptionally large with all the amenities you could ask for while away from home. As I am writing this review I am sitting in the dinning room overlooking the fireplace that is roaring at poolside. We just finished a wonderful complimentary breakfast, buffet style, beautifully arranged in the kitchen area. The management team and staff at this hotel really have the proverbial “secret sauce” when it comes to the ideal guest experience. I want to thank all of the staff at this beautiful hotel for their combined contributions towards our wonderful guest experience, but I especially want to thank Donna Dawson and food manager “Shirley” for the empathy and compassion they exhibited towards us after revealing to them why we were visiting Montgomery. Their kindness and friendly engagement of us brought much needed smiles to our faces. We love this hotel and the hotel staff so much that we are going to recommend this place to our entire family, as the ideal hotel for all of us to stay for the anniversary memorial of our father’s passing next year. A toast to the Late, Great John Joseph Murray. _ __ _

Average. Okay for one night. Great staff. Rooms a bit dated. Rooms are not the “home bedroom feel” that many Homewood Suites have (ceiling fan, trim molding, etc). This is more like a Hampton. Okay for one night. TripAdvisor wants 200 characters so blah blah blah yadda yadda.

Southern Charm Wins Out My team and I stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Montgomery after finishing a project in Chicago where we stayed at the Palmer House in Chicago. We had an amazing experience at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Montgomery! We'd pick the staff and facilities at the Homewood Suites every time!!

One night stop on the way to Florida Booked this hotel because they had a two bedroom suite and we have a large family. It was definitely not worth the price that we paid. The room seemed very dated and just didn't feel clean. The employee that my husband encountered while trying to get coffee the next morning was rude enough that we checked out before even eating the breakfast that was included with the stay.

Excellent Property Montgomery, AL worth the $$$ 22-23 JULY 2024 Had several encounters with the staff. Excellent leadership dealing with employees shown by Assistant GM Tammy. Excellent service from front desk reps Serenthia & Christina who were very attentive to my multiple requests to make my family with special needs daughter comfortable. A special shout out to Phillip who handed my 2 am check in with ease to put very tired family to bed after a long road trip. Also Doris makes a great breakfast and maintains her kitchen and serving area in a very high state of cleanliness,. All these hospitality professionals are very good at what they do and the owners of this Home Wood Suites are very fortunate to have such quality employees.
