Solid, safe and clean. And inexpensive. I'm from a town five minutes away and I visit fairly often to see family. I would not have expected a bargain in Nanuet. Pet Friendly. Cleaner than I would have thought. Comfortable bed. Downside? Fridge looked like it had been roughed up with a ball peen hammer. Light fixture in bathroom was rusted out. But that was about it. Place cost about $100. Hard to argue with that in Nanuet. I'd definitely go back.

It's okay for 1-2 nights, not the best stay this time, room problems. I stayed here before in a different room and had a great stay but this time, not so much. I may not come back again when visiting family in the area. The one main positive--that saved the stay is that the room was Very Clean--Very. What I did not like: 1. The shower head was not installed properly. The water shot out from the shower head attachment neck and hit the ceiling, another stream went over the curtain top and soaked the floor and my bag and towels on the rack. I had to deal with this for 2 showers. I tried to hand fix it but it was tight--just not installed correctly--they put a new head on it seemed and never tested it and housekeeping does not test it and if previous guests complained--they didn't follow-up. I have actually never seen this in many hotel stays over the years. Maintenance here is not on the ball to say the least. 2. The screen on the window was not put on right and coming off. 3. No soap bars--just pumps. 4. They must have a contract with the government to house homeless because a number of people were just wandering the property alone, some talking to themselves, smoking outside in the parking lot, watching you. Not your typical busy hotel crowd that has an agenda. 5. The pillows and bed were not that comfortable and I could not get good sleep the second night. 6. I have never seen a heater/AC with red and blue lights that flashed at you all night in the dark. I had to use 2 kitchen towels to cover them up otherwise they light up the room flashing. Never encountered lights like this in a heater/AC. I do like this area--next to Costco and Target close and IHOP and highways and my sister's office is close and parking is free and easy. Towels are mostly fine here--some not. Bottled water is $2.00 a bottle. In sum, it's the type of place that is fine for 1 or 2 nights--not more. Next time in the area, I may try a different hotel.

Mold smell Plenty of other places to stay in the area. Room smelled terrible of mold and cigarettes and did not look like it had been cleaned well. Mold was visible on pantry shelves. When we called down to ask if we could be moved and they stated they were sold out. We asked for a room purifier or if the room could be cleaned/aired out. They came up and sprayed a few sprays of air freshener and gave us a plugged in. This was their "help". Save your money and stay somewhere else, wish we did. We are still coughing and stuffed up from the smell. We couldn't check out fast enough.

Give this "suites" a sweet pass This place felt like the management was saving money in every possible way. The hallway carpets appeared to never have been vacuumed, the rug and floors in the room were sticky. There is a nice enough little kitchenette, but no chairs or place to eat. The air conditioning in the room was extremely noisy and didn't work very well, the room feeling damp and smelling musty the whole time. The skimpy towels don't dry and clothes left out in the room become damp. You can sign out various kitchen appliances, but not a hair dryer, and the room did not have one. Gosh, even the toilet paper holder fell off and we had to keep the roll on the counter, where it became as damp as everything else. There was a tv with only 4 channels, so not even local news to check in on.

Please think twice about staying here When we arrived there was a sickening odor throughout our room. We woke up to ants crawling in the bed. Turns out the smell was from the toxic chemical, hot shot, used to control their bug problem. Even though the room had been soaked in the spray, the ants persisted both in the bed and on the counter tops. Most disturbing was a truckload of men in the parking lot who were there when we arrived at 8 pm, and who were still there when we checked out prematurely at 10 am. By then they were extremely inebriated, dancing shirtless and blasting explicit music. We also witnessed them peeing in the parking lot. The worst of it was when we asked about this at the front desk. The gentleman working there was extremely dismissive when we (as two women) expressed that we felt unsafe. His main response was to simply ask if the men had directly approached us. Our feeling was that it could turn into a dangerous situation. Do we, or other travelers, have to be physically hurt before action is taken by the hotel? We asked if he felt that this was acceptable behavior and were again dismissed. I strongly recommend that you think twice about staying here.
