Charming and Affordable Boutique Hotel in the French Quarter I booked a room at the very last minute and got a good rate. My dog was welcome without an overwhelming amount of paperwork. Cassidy, at the front desk, was a joy, very helpful, friendly, and outgoing. The place is very charming. The location is excellent, in the French Quarter, but on a quiet block. It’s an easy walk to Louis Armstrong Park on Rampart, as well as to all of which the Quarter has to offer. I’m not sure if they offer parking, but I found a spot on the street not too far away. There is a pool and a peaceful and quaint courtyard. The building and rooms have a great vintage vibe. The place is a little rough around the edges. You may have to jiggle the door key to get it to turn, and the bathroom fixtures may not have been updated in awhile; but, the water pressure might knock you over, and the staff is great. I will definitely book again the next time I visit NOLA.

Quaint or seedy? That was our question as we first entered. Final determination: seedy! We literally had to clean our own bathroom upon entering to feel ok using it. It’s is very old and aging quick with actually very little charm you would hope could go with it. Other than some scruffy hotel cats there’s nothing charming here just b level hotel dinge.

Hotel St. Pierre is amazing! Right in the French Quarter, everything is within walking distance! Staff was super friendly, helpful, and gave great recommendations! We had a cozy room in the Jazz building and it was lovely.

Honest warning about conditions and experience That room (204) was absolutely unacceptable to put an unfortunate traveler in. I am stunned that the unsafe and run down conditions were considered acceptable. If they stand by that quality, then they need to post THAT room on the website. Sincerely, they should be ashamed of the way they are operating with that room. Nobody cleaned it before my stay besides maybe wiping a counter and changing the sheets. If they had, they would have alerted maintenance to the NAILED OPEN AND JAGGED WINDOW in the bathroom with broken glass. If they had, there wouldn't be dirty fingerprints on the doors. That is unreal and pretty disgusting. I feel lied to, and it is less about the money than it is about souring my entire stay and experience. I can't get that back!!! They cannot refund me the disappointment, regret, and lack of ability to be comfortable and feel safe. The room had obviously been broken into as evidenced by the busted up door. As is, that room needs to be used as storage, NOT a short straw for one of the customers to draw. Maybe don't have a room so bad it has a nickname among hotel staff? Then maybe don't laugh and tell it to upset guests who complain? Very sad that my room was somehow so abysmal while the rest seemed nice, and the lobby certainly gives no indication to the filthy hovels being passed off as hotel rooms. And the website CERTAINLY doesn't indicate that room as an option. Hopefully changes will be made so that others may avoid experiencing what I did. There's not really much they could do to give me back a good experience staying in New Orleans for the first time.
