Great Location, Clean, Attentive, Courteous The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to Times Square, Broadway and tons of shops and restaurants. It is VERY lively in that area, and I did hear some of the noise at night, but I had ear plugs and my "white noise" app to muffle the sounds, and I noticed that the noise died down at a reasonable hour. The room and bathroom were VERY clean. We requested more soap, fresh towels and an extra set of bedding and they brought everything up quickly when we asked. The staff was very helpful, attentive (room was always clean when we got back from our day out) and courteous. The bed was a bit firm for my taste, and I prefer a fluffier pillow, however I got used to it after the first night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people who want to stay near Times Square. I saw a review about the room not having a good view and dirty windows-both true, however I wasn't in my room for the view or clean windows, I was there to sleep!

Won't stay here again. Nice hotel, nice rooms, nice staff. Have stayed before. Booked 3 rooms for 1 night for business. Asked if 1 room could checkout at 1pm instead of noon, which hotel could accommodate but charged $100. I will not stay here again. Seemed like an arbitrary decision be a manger.

Great service, underwhelming hotel I stayed in two different rooms- an executive room on the 6th floor and a suite on the 12th floor. Starting with the positives- By far the service. The front desk staff was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. Regarding room #1 on the 6th floor. Comfortable bed and room overall but it faced the street and was incredibly noisy (and I sleep with earplugs). The hotel is not responsible for outside noise but it is responsible for soundproofing which clearly wasn't done. The other problem in the room was the air conditioning. The noise from the unit was so incredibly loud... it was the kind of unit you would find in a 2-star property, not at a Kimpton hotel. The other problem was the lighting. The rooms are dark and the windows are set quite high so you don't really have any natural light at all. The room is clean but the decor is very basic... not the highest quality. In my room the refrigerator froze whatever I put into it and the outlets did not work next to my bed. The bathroom was nice but the shower was disappointing. The water pressure was quite weak and the amount of shower gel given was miniscule. In the suite, there far was less outdoor noise but the room again had exactly the same shortfalls. Dark, same issue with the shower and decor. Very basic and uninspiring. The location is great if you are working in Midtown but the proximity to Times Square for me was a downside. Too many people and impossible to access via taxi/Uber because of multiple street closures during my stay. Overall, I would say this was an old property that was given a quick aesthetic makeover with very little investment (clunky doors with cheap handles, old elevators, old AC units...). Really it felt like a hotel from the 1970s with new IKEA furnishings. I would have expected more.

Best hotel in NYC! I can't say enough about The Muse Hotel and it's staff! From the warm welcome and assistance with the luggage at the front door, the friendly and knowledgeable staff at the front desk and everything in between - The Muse is always the best! We stayed for our son's 18th birthday with his friends and the staff was so accommodating and helpful with breakfast recommendations, dinner reservations, directions and suggestions. We had three rooms for our party and the rooms are spacious and extremely clean. It was really hot in NYC while we were there and the great air conditioning was such a treat at the end of the day! The location of the property is absolutely perfect - so close to everything - it just can't be beat! We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and each stay is better than the last! The General Manager (and all staff!) really go out of their way at The Muse!

Nice Stay The hotel was roomy and close to everything. The restaurant was closed, but there were plenty of places to eat right outside the door. The staff were nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
