Greatest customer service I have done a fair amount of traveling and staying in hotels. Amy at the front desk makes this hotel the greatest hotel experience I’ve ever had. This is my third visit to this hotel and every time she is here she greets me with a warm smile. She is such a blessing to this hotel. I will continue to stay here every time I come to town because of her. These days it’s nice to meet and talk to a warm caring person. God bless you Amy

Not up to expectation for IHG! So we travel a lot and have always stayed in IHG Holiday Inn Express’s. This by far was the nastiest, dirtiest and unpleasant room we have ever stayed in within the IHG HIE group. We are not picky nor are we complainers. The room was absolutely disgusting as well as the bathroom. The room had an odor to it and the floors were less than desirable. I have attached pictures of the bathroom. This alone should be flagged by the cleaning staff or supervisor as a room that needs attention. The shower dripped all night long as well. How IHG can rent a room like this out is beyond me. I say this as our normal experience is not like this. This room #224 has now made us rethink our brand as we travel and stay.

UNBELIVABLE The Holiday inn Express Newport News on J Clyde staff treated me like a joke. I had on a shirt and shorts so when I went to get breakfast the kitchen insisted i was not a guess even after i told her the room number I was in. she went to the Assistant manager who showed up with another staff member, both men were surrounding me and said follow them to the front desk to check if I was a guest. Another incident, when I returned from shopping the assistant Manager David said "HEY WHATS UP" I looked around like who is he talking to then I said hello, the front desk staff started laughing. I believe my attire was not up to their standards. When I had a conversation with David he became upset. Most of the staff treated me with no respect. I felt like I was being treated disrespected for what ever reason. I cant really give the reason.

Nice Stay We only stayed one night but we were fairly pleased with the stay. We were upgraded to a suite (209) which was nice, very roomy. We noticed the stopper in the sink was missing but a quick call to the front desk got that fixed very quickly. Beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast had the normal food that most HIE offer and was pretty good. Large dining area so you weren't cramped. The only complaints we had were the bath room could use a little TLC on the floor and baseboard but the biggest complaint was the chorine smell when we walked in the front door which we run into at a lot of hotels when the pool is inside, not sure why all hotels can't have salt water pools. If we stay in the area again we'll most likely stay here since we are HIE members.

Not safe Staff is awesome! Rooms were Dirty! Mold! Water damage! We were very disappointed! Requested to move to another room due to water damage in our room. The room was still not up to par . There was rust in bathroom, horrible smell and just old. No pics to share . I was so tired from having to deal with switching rooms and having to sanitize our room down.
