Very nice hotel Had to make an unexpected stop in Ocala on our way home from a cruise, and this was the closest hotel to the hospital. What a gem!!! The room was extremely clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was better than I expected. The price was quite reasonable as well, and there is an IHOP right next door so you don't have to drive to find lunch or dinner.

Last Resort Only Stay! I would not recommended staying here until they do a total renovation and update to the hotel. We stayed for only 1 night to attend a concert. Had we stayed in the city longer, we would have definitely book at another hotel. First, the hotel is under construction and there is no elevator service. During our stay they were repairing the roof. The noise, banging etc was from roughly 8am -7:30 pm. So don't expect to sleep late as you will hear the construction noise. My hope is that they repair the whole hotel. As some of the other writers mentioned, it is sordid. Lobby floors were dusty. I understand they were repairing the hotel but you can tell the floors hadn't been washed in weeks. The carpets were filthy. There was a bug on the wall. The showers had pubic hairs on the wall. There was a foul smell coming from the sink water faucet. Our entrance door was not secure, which caused problems in properly closing it. I have stayed at comfort inns before but in all honesty, this was the absolute worse. The hotel decor was old, dirty, and in major need of updating. The lighting was poor in the rooms, microwave did not work. Only positive thing about the room was the bed. It was comfortable; however since the hotel look so unkept I slept in my sleeping bag. Housekeeping was subpar. I had old trash in the bathroom trashcan and I only had 1 full size bath towel. Word of caution, since they are working on the exterior of the hotel, parking can be tight. Since they are working on the rook, expect to find a lot of laborers milling around the hotel working. This can be unsettling for a solo female travel. Even my friend felt uncomfortable. If I had to do it again, I would probably have stayed at another hotel.

A place to stay but don’t expect amenities The hotel was clean enough and the breakfast was fine. The pool is closed, the gym is closed (permanently), the TV only has one channel (oxygen true crime), the power went out once for unknown reasons, and the staff told us the elevator sensor is broken and that “it will crush you.” The bed was pretty comfortable and I slept well. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay here again, but it served its purpose.

THREATENED BY HOUSEKEEPING WAS THREATENED BY HOUSEKEEPING. The overall experience was OK. The first night there we were threatened by a lady walking her dog who was clearly on A LOT of drugs. The front desk was always very helpful and nice, as we weren't sure how long we were staying so we just extended the reservation every night. However we planned to stay longer… We planned to extended the resorvation however we slept passed checkout on accident. As a result, the housekeeping lady pounded on the door at least 4 times within 20 minutes telling us she needed to clean the room. By the last time she was literally kicking the door, screaming at my fiance, and threatened to to fight me as well(as other staff was literally holding her back). She was hopping up and down, spit flying out of her mouth, face red as a beat, and had the nerve to call us “crack heads” as well as manage to mention how my finances father basically enjoyed the services she provided “last night”. Anyways, I called the front desk to tell them I was scared to leave if she was still there, they said they'd handle it, but she was STILL standing out front when we left flicking me off and screaming at me. I appreciated the prices, size, and location of the room. However, I feel like they seriously need to consider the security of the tenants who are staying there. This lady was the size of a full grown man, and if it were JUST me and my fiance was not there… I fear for what might have happened.
