Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PORT ARTHUR by IHG

Exceptional in cleanliness and friendliness Exceptionally good service and cleanliness. Well managed and very friendly staff. Breakfast like most hotels, bed cozy well lighted but the shining stars are the staff members who are efficient yet exude a friendly“can do” responses to any request. Hooray!!

Family Reunion Host Hotel Our family reserved accommodations with Holiday Inn Express Port Arthur. We needed rooms for our family reunion July 14 - 16, 2023. The checkin process was flawless and we were given our room keys within three minutes! We booked two suites. They were spacious and clean. We were shocked to see both a mini-refrigerator and microwave in the suites, along with a very large wardrobe to store our clothing. The hotel stocks DOVE Bath Products, which is a major plus for my family. (We have extremely sensitive skin and only use Dove products at home.) The free breakfast was absolutely delicious! Scrambled eggs and bacon were my favorites. There is a nice selection to choose from including toast, biscuits, juices, turkey sausage and more. The professionalism of the Front Desk Staff was amazing. I locked my room keys in the room - and Ms. Cynthia Kiel gladly provided assistance. During this time, many guests were checking-out early. She was working alone - but definitely managed to assure everyone felt as though their request was a top priority. Safety: This is a very safe facility. Our son brought DJ Equipment, Saxophones, Flutes and a Keyboard to perform at our family reunion. Items were left unattended overnight and were kept safe! I highly recommend Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Port Arthur, Texas.

Port Arthur Escape I don’t write reviews. But the courtesy, service and friendliness of the staff was so far above anything we have ever experienced, that I had to tell about it. It speaks well of the training, the management, and the culture of this hotel. We were treated like family, more than customers.

Management is Arrogant and Terrible! Let me preface this by, I'm a Spire Elite member at IHG (top tier). I've been a member since 1992. I've stayed at this property 30 or 40 times. Today I checked and was not told that they had no water in the rooms. I called down to the desk and was told that they had no control over it, the city turned it off. I told them that they could've told me and I told them I was checking right back out. The Manager (so she said) stated that she wasn't going to charge me for the night. I told her I knew that. (Captain Obvious!) She told me that a lot of hotels would've. I told no, they wouldn't and I knew especially that IHG wouldn't because of my member status. She stated she didn't care that I was a Spire Elite. I asked her name and she said it's on the door! I was so impressed with her attitude and customer service that I contacted IHG immediately. They apologized and a complaint was filed with a promise of action. There is no way that I will stay at this property again as long as she is employed. Let me finish by saying that in almost 30 years, this is also the first complaint that I've filed with IHG and the first time to have a reason to file one! In 2019, I stayed at IHG properties from Washington to Texas to Tennessee to Pennsylvania over 100 nights in 2019 and have never been treated with such disrespect!

Very quiet and comfortable I stayed here three nights, slept very well. My room was very quiet and very clean. Obvious this hotel has been renovated as everything was in perfect order. The Front Desk welcomed me back. What? I apparently stayed here in March 2012. Place is vaguely familiar but I’m sure they’re right. Standard HIX breakfast. Will book again.
