Expected more from a Homewood Suites This hotel was advertised as being newly renovated. I think my expectations of what this meant and what I found were entirely different. This hotel did not live up to what I expected from a Homewood Suites by Hilton. I was not recognized as a Hilton Honors member. The most disappointing part of my stay was the breakfast. We stayed two nights and the breakfast was exactly the same both mornings. The usual bland scrambled eggs, sausage patties swimming in grease (I wasn't even sure they were sausage patties), potatoes and some unrecognizable side dish. I couldn't even tell you what it was. Unfortunately, nothing was identified. Also, nothing was replenished, for the most part. There was fresh fruit but that was never replenished, nor was the cheese if you wanted to add some to your eggs. On another note, the indoor pool was not heated so that was a bit shocking to get used to. It was clean, however, and there were towels available. On the plus side, most of the people who worked there were helpful and it was a decent location. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again.

Stay somewhere else. They don't clean rooms. They don't clean rooms or change linens if you stay longer than one night and it appears sometimes not ever. I have been here for two weeks and they won't clean my room. I found open condoms in the nightstand drawer which leads me to believe that they didn't clean the room after the previous guest left.

OK location, highly processed fake food, charges for parking end of a street, open parking lot I stayed at your location since Monday afternoon . I have to say charging for parking in an open parking lot , when others don’t is being greedy at a whole new level. Also , whichever dimwit thought it was a good idea to place the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash on the wall next to where someone would be standing is a common sense lacking dimwit. I scrapped and scratched my arms & elbows serval times because of where the bottles were placed/attached to, where someone normally stands. They should have been placed on the same wall or opposite wall of the shower head ! Not next to someone , in a narrow hotel commercial sided tub which would hit , scrap and scratch themselves. 3rd thing , the clearly bargain basement highly salted , high chemical fake as all hell mass produced eggs , bacon , sausage, microwaved breakfast each morning …. Was absolutely disgusting, bland , tasteless , highly salted crap! You need to buy real food , not unhealthy fake foods , that could also be why most of the hotel staff is overweight as well. 4th thing, Wifi/Internet was VERY slow, and the TV entertainment system is badly outdated, like the old Hilton decor. hotel needs to be updated ! 4th thing : WiFi was god awful slow , couldn’t even have teams or WebEx video conf calls in the room. Had to use my phone hot spot because the internet wouldn’t go over 10mb during speed tests.

Disappointing for a Hilton My husband and I stayed at the Homewood Suites in Portsmouth, NH in late July 2023. Let me start with the pros about this hotel: It is very well located with shopping malls and grocery stores with close proximity. Downtown Portsmouth is just a 5-minute drive and the beaches of Maine and New Hampshire are within a 20-minute ride. Now the cons: At $220 a night, the room we were assigned was disappointing. The room wasn’t very clean. It was obvious that housekeeping did light » clean before we checked-in. The carpet had sticky spots and the carpet under the furniture hadn't been vacuumed since who knows when because there was dust and old pieces of food. The garbage wasn't taken out during our stay. Also, the light bulb in the refrigerator needed to be replaced since it was burned out. There was no cleaning service and we never saw a maid on our hotel floor during our stay. The breakfast was mediocre. Same food was served every day: scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausages or bacon. No fruits (except apples) or yogurt. Kool-Aid (or similar) drink was served instead of real juice. We were disappointed since it’s a Hilton associated hotel. There was a fee of $7.50/night to park the car in the parking lot. This charge wasn’t on our statement when we checked out but was emailed by Hilton thereafter. This parking fee should not be charged because the hotel is not located downtown.
