SLC is a complete dump The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was disgusting. The walls are thin and we could hear the people above us walking/ stomping around until 2am. Unfortunately, there's a huge homeless & drug problem here. We've ran into many very "sketchy" people while here. On our way through SLC a week prior, we stayed near the airport, big mistake. It's on the "wrong side of the tracks". we passed people living on the street, tweaking on the sidewalk, gross garbage & urine smell everywhere. So on the way back I thought I found something nicer, wrong again! We're clear on the other side of the city, but honestly I don't think there is a "good" part of the city anymore. Everywhere we went, even walking around Temple Square, we were extremely cautious & all our senses were screaming "UNSAFE". When we got back to the parking lot next to the LDS Conference Center car windows had been smashed, luckily not ours. Panhandlers harassed us as we came off an exit ramp & were stopped at a light. They walked into the lane of traffic, up to our window, waving their sign & shouting at us for money. Then went around our truck to harass the car next to us. We got back to this "nice" hotel & there's sketchy looking people leaning on our motorcycle trailer in the parking lot! Told the front desk, they contacted the security guard, but by the time he got there they were gone. We then head to our room & at the end of the hall is a grungy guy (clearly on drugs), with a bulging backpack (clearly homeless), holding a cell phone, looking out the window down at the parking lot, oh and he was ON A MOTORIZED SCOOTER! Like one that is meant for the road, in the hallway! Our guess is he was a lookout for someone casing cars in the parking lot. We were caught so off guard at how prevalent this problem of homelessness and drug use has become. We saw lots of people tweaking out on the sidewalk hallucinating, walking out into the traffic, lots of boarded up businesses. Since covid and the riots SLC has turned into a dump and the hotel is in the middle of it. Unfortunately all we've seen is just garbage. I don't think we will ever come back.

Very disappointing The bed was excellent and there were good reading lights (rare these days). But the toiletries amounted to two shampoos (different brands). That's it. There was also one bar of bath soap and two towels for two people.Breakfast was a sad boxed affair. Maybe COVID explains it, but other hotels and restaurants were serving normally. The breakfast scene was chaotic. If I had been paying Motel 6 prices I wouldn't complain about Motel 6 standards, but this was a real disappointment.

Perfect stay during appts at hospital I would say a 5 out of 5 stars we had two rooms booked different names they made sure we had the room next to one another and then we had to extend our stay they had no problems with that and or keeping our room they were clean, friendly and I would recommend it to anyone
