Hilton Garden Inn Rancho Bernardo Check in was just awesome. The host that checked me in apologized for the construction and explained how to get to my room and the garage if I wanted to use it. I went up and just loved my room. The biggest TV I had seen in all the hotels I had stayed. My grief was the bartender as he didn't seem to want to wait on me. He was diligent on helping the cute older couple, helped the guys at the bar, helped the table behind me and next to me but I guess Iwasn't enough to take care of. Asked for a menu, after receiving it I saw a salad and green beans besides another drink that looked delicious. But, you never came back to me after waiting 30 minutes. A new large party walked in and you jumped right over to take care of them. I felt so small and hurt like I didnt deserve to be waited online all the other patrons. I stood at the bar and you didn't even acknowledge me so I threw down 3 $5 bills.. It wasn't deserved but I am not that kind of person.

No customer experience Many people wait to check in and the reception is holding back until exactly 4 to check in time … not what I would call customer service especially being Hilton Honors Member.. very dissatisfied I can’t believe there is no room ready for anyone since 1h waiting time .. 4 people waiting.. this is just unwillingness to let customers in earlier.. 15 min!!!!

Another below average Hilton property This is another poor Hilton Garden Inn that should really be a lower star hotel and not worth staying in .A couple of things to consider before you go here 1. There is a nightly parking fee ($15) 2. The water pressure in the bathroom is weak. 3. Housekeeping is every other day . This is just another one of those hotels that is totally happy charging you a full nightly rate but uses Covid time excuse to reduce housekeeping costs and staff. 4. The TV has no streaming channels or ability to hook up your streaming service . 5. The air conditioning is pathetic . You cannot keep just the fan on . The lowest the AC will go is 68 degrees but it’s not really 68 degrees. 6. Lastly , there is substantial road noise . We had booked 5-6 rooms for a business event and almost everyone complained about this. Positives : the bed is comfortable. Though , pillows are so-so. There is a refrigerator and coffee machine in the room and the staff does try to help but do miss things . To make things worse , their systems were down on at least 2 days so lot of papers needed to be filled . Housekeeping missed my room on one occasion and the door sensor ran out of battery and I couldn’t enter my room . They needed 2 reminders to fix it . Will I stay here again ? Very likely no . Would u recommend this place ? No as well. I think you can save money and go to a cheaper property and still get better service .

Pathetic service Extremely poor service unfortunately! Not a pleasant experience at all. No one answers the call for room service. There is no number to reach the reception. I had to go down to the reception to request things and even after waiting for more than an hour nothing gets delivered to the room.

Don't stay here The staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming. They had a group of teenage boys for a weekend and they were running around screaming and tackling each other and the staff refused to do anything about it. The boys almost knocked me over with =their ruff housing in the hallways. this went on until after 10 PM and still nothing was done. They also say the hotel is pet friendly but there is no grass anywhere within 2 blocks to take the dog.
