Unforgettable experience on our wedding night My husband made a reservation for two nights after our wedding. He called the hotel to make the reservation and received great service from Crystal. After telling her it was our wedding day, Crystal and Jen went out of their way to make our stay an amazing experience. We had a room in the 4th floor. It was very clean and comfortable. We had a huge jacuzzi tub, great bed, mini kitchen and a big patio with table and chairs with an amazing view of the sunset. They both left us a wonderful welcome package in our room plus a personal card. They treated us like we have known them forever despite never meeting them before. Jen was at the front desk everyday and she provided us amazing hospitality and service. We had a couple meals at the restaurant and everything we tried was amazing. I definitely recommend trying one of the burgers and pub chips. It was a great, relaxing experience after all the stress and excitement of our wedding. It is located in a convenient, quiet location close to the freeway. We live in town but spend a lot of nights in the area. Because of the amazing service Jen has made us loyal customers and we will definitely be back soon! We highly recommend staying if you want to be treated like family and a safe, quiet place to stay for a reasonable price.

A combination of good and bad... My husband was in Scottsdale for business and we stayed at this hotel for four nights. My first advice: Check the cancellation policy before you book. This is on us, not them, but we tried to switch to a hotel closer to the Scottsdale airport two weeks before our stay and the penalty was one night--$200 after taxes. (I believe the actual room was about $160.) And the cancellation policy is entirely dependent on your rate. We had never stayed at any hotel with that kind of policy, especially so far in advance. Again, on us, not them. But don't be us! Double check! My next advice that this hotel taught us: Never completely move into a room until you check every fixture in the bathroom. This tip was GOLD and I learned it riding the elevator from a business traveler who stays at this hotel often, for the location, (which I completely understand, it's great), and said the bathrooms are always problematic. Not one fixture in our bathroom worked properly, but by the time we realized how bad it was, we didn't want to switch rooms, and figured another room might be worse. The bathroom faucet was very hard to manipulate in any direction, and hot water took an eternity. By far the worst thing, we stood ankle deep in water during our showers, every morning, because while the tub drained, eventually, it was at a glacial pace. About an hour for all of the water to clear after a shower. Fortunately our personal schedules were staggered enough so the tub would be emptied by the next shower. An added bonus was the black shmutz that came out of the drain and floated around during the first shower. And everything left over in the tub after it drained. (I always rinsed my ankles and feet afterwards.) Which is not only gross, but we aren't spring chickens, and by shower two or three, the tub gets slick and potentially dangerous, because of the draining issue. And the toilet was very hard to flush. The bathroom was also very cramped, and you had to sit sideways on the toilet to clear the door. And there was no bathroom fan. We always had to leave the door wide open during showers to let the steam clear. The beds were great. I mean, really great. Better than our own. Clean and comfortable. And some people will get this, others won't, but the room had a LOT of furniture, which I loved. Comfy chairs, nesting tables, multi purpose ottomans, a lovely desk with a nice light--it gave us multiple places to put suitcases, and multiple ways to use the furniture. I am not sure the floors have ever been vacuumed, because all of the carpet in the hotel is dark brown. And so were the bottom of our slippers when we left, which were clean when we went. My advice is the same for all hotels, not just this one--don't walk barefoot. We were so encouraged by the lobby on arrival! Brand new looking, modern, a really nice restaurant that we never ate in. But stepping into the room hallways was a bit of a time warp. Mostly the carpet and the rooms themselves, a bit dated. But mostly clean. And ultimately, clean always wins for me. The red haired gal at the front desk was very sweet--I appreciated her nice smile! They don't do housekeeping unless you ask, which to us is a plus, not a minus. There is no free breakfast of any type, but you can buy breakfast in the restaurant. And no free coffee in the lobby, but a K-cup coffeemaker in the room. The location of the hotel is AWESOME. A very quiet business park, zero traffic, and centrally located, of course depending on your needs. There were big pluses to this hotel, and big minuses. But most we could deal with for four days. Most of all, we would just say watch the cancellation policy, and check your bathroom before you "move in." That was a great lesson for us, going forward with any hotel. I wanted to write the kind of review I like to read myself, so I hope it was helpful.

Zander, The King of Customer Service We traveled to Scottsdale over the weekend for a hockey tournament. Our team is comprised of boys ages 8-10, and as you can imagine they were excited to be together under one roof. The hotel rooms were well equipped with a variety of suite layouts, some with kitchens, some with larger living spaces. Every family was pleased with their accommodations. But what makes this a 5 green dot rating was the customer service that we received from The King of Customer Service, Zander. Zander went out of his way to make us feel welcome, was speedy accommodating all our requests and was always positive and cheerful. Where other employees were annoyed or impatient and sometimes a little rude, Zander was excited to greet our families upon our return to the hotel every afternoon. He is so great at his job, that the parents started countdowns to when his shift started in the afternoon. We were as excited to see him as he was to see us! He went above and beyond and made our stay 10/10!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY EXCEPT BE WARY OF FRONT DESK My husband and I selected this hotel from a Google Maps search due to its proximity to an authorized GMC mechanic shop. Using his Bank of America Visa, my husband made the reservation in the morning on the day we were to arrive which was 1 week ago from the date I am writing this review. The 2-night reservation was made through what was identified as IHG (as opposed to “Booking”or “Expedia”) because it was the best deal. The confirmation of this reservation was sent to our email address as Super.com Confirmation for Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Scottsdale North-Airpark, An IHG Hotel. We arrived at the hotel earlier than 3 pm and the following interactions occurred between myself and Front Desk Person (approx. 2 PM Monday 10/16/23): Front Desk did acknowledge the reservation and its terms as from “central reservations.” Front Desk asked for a card to hold on file that would be charged $100 for incidentals should they occur. I gave Front Desk my Amex card. Front Desk was able to accommodate our request for early check in and found room 240 for us to occupy. We were made aware the vehicle repairs would require us to stay at the hotel an additional day. My husband made a second, 1 day extension reservation through the same IHG website and received confirmation to our email from the same source as stated above. On Tues 10/17/2023 I informed the same Front Desk Person we would be extended our stay for a departure on Thursday morning 10/19/2023 and requested we stay in the same Room 240. The following interactions occurred with Front Desk Person: Front Desk Person did not appear happy that the reservation was made through IHG but acknowledged it. Front Desk Person informed me that this second reservation had been made for an accessible room, not the same type as we had. Front Desk person stated she would make it possible for us to stay in the same Room 240 (which, of course, eliminates the need for housekeeping to clean two rooms). My husband and I departed Holiday Inn 14255 N.87th Street SCOTTSDALE an hour before checkout time Thursday 10/19/2023. Upon routine review of charges made to our credit cards it was discovered on Sunday 10/22/2023 that Super.com had charges for $367.53 (first two nights) and $183.37 (additional night) which was expected. The Hotel had also charged our Amex card $421.84 for the first two nights plus incidentals and $161.63 for the additional night (no incidental charges). The expected charges on the Amex card should have been limited to the total of $98.58 in incidental charges. Yesterday 10/22/2023 I spent over 3 hours with both Front Desk at this hotel and Central Reservation Jen at 1-855-914-9696 to get the double charges removed. Front Desk inferred that the use of incidental charges allowed the hotel to charge our card. At this point Front Desk also claimed that the hotel is not responsible for “third party reservations” which. Central Reservation Jen called up Front Desk and then repeated what Front Desk said. Their conclusion was that I was responsible for getting Super.com to remove their charges to our Visa card (even though both of the transactions had been acknowledge by Front Desk as legitimate). Attempts to call Super.com were unsuccessful. Their customer service feedback relies on emailed interactions to PissedConsumer.com. This modus operandi may work for Gen Z, but my style is to send this missive to Christopher J. Nasetta (president of Hilton), Fazal Hussein (CEO Super.com) and the Federal Trade Commission regarding the Online Booking Market. Due only to the inability to contact Super.com directly I filed a dispute with Bank of America, however I believe that the hotel management erred in charging our Amex card and the hotel is at fault for double charging.Bank of America will follow up the complaint . In summary, this hotel is a great place to stay … or get shipwrecked as we were. Great rooms, pool, hot tub, exercise room. But do not trust Front Desk.

We will stay here next time in Scottsdale, Arizona Perfect place for a family staycation close to entertainment and activities near and around Scottdale, Arizona. Full service restaurant-bar on location that serves breakfast too. The pool and hot tub is better that normal pools with a water wall and waterfall. The room was spacious with great TV channels, Keurig coffee maker in room with pods and mini refrigerator.
