Filthy! We stayed in room 209 at the AmeriVu Inn & Suites in Shakopee from 6/19/24-6/21/24 & it was NOT clean. We were immediately disappointed. My husband tried to turn on the TV but couldn't because there was a battery missing from the remote. He asked the employee for batteries. The employee said people had been stealing from the hotel & taking down smoke detectors, then placing them in the mini fridges. This employee was barefoot when speaking with my husband. While my husband talking to the employee, I started to unpack our things. As my eyes adjusted to the dimness of the room, I noticed the carpet wasn't vacuumed. Not only was there something sticky on our room keys, but I noticed something sticky on one of the nightstands as well. There were a couple flies buzzing around, the mirrors & walls weren't clean, & there were fingernails underneath the bathroom sink, along with long dark hairs on the bathroom floor. All of this in addition to the textured, melted looking, stained up toilet seat & what appeared to be severe calcium build-up on the faucet and showerhead. After my husband's odd interaction with the employee, I didn't feel comfortable asking that employee for a different room. I felt that someone with no problem walking around barefoot in a hotel probably would be offended that we said it wasn't clean & I was worried about being retaliated against. In addition to our room's lack of cleanliness, the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress seemed to be quite old & in need of being replaced. The next morning, we went downstairs to see what was for breakfast. The breakfast area was dirty too, further cementing my belief that if I complained about the cleanliness of our room, nothing would be done. One of the tables had something spilled on it, the sink area looked disgusting, & the chairs in the breakfast area were so filthy that I didn't feel comfortable sitting on them. The receptacles holding the cereal looked like they hadn't been washed. I noticed the employee who checked us in the night before was still there, sweeping the parking lot. We each ate about half of a waffle, then returned to our room to get ready for the day. When I brushed my teeth, the sink wasn't draining. I took a shower & there was what appeared to be a pubic hair stuck to one of the 3 washcloths provided by the hotel. Gross, but at least the water was warm & the water pressure was acceptable. When I got out of the shower, I noticed the sink hadn't drained. We finished getting ready & left for the day. When we returned that evening, there was a person asleep in the lobby & the staff didn't seem to mind. We went to our room & as I went to remove my contacts and brush my teeth, I noticed a filmy residue in the sink. Apparently while the sink was draining, whatever was in the pipes came up out of them & stayed behind as a special treat for me to find. I told myself that we just had to make it through the night. The next morning, I noticed a sign in our room that said if something was perceived to be "missing," guests would be charged for it. There was never a clothes iron in our room & I became worried that the hotel staff would charge us for it. As far as I know, they didn't, but I feel like if something is missing from the room prior to checking in, then that item shouldn't be listed on the sign as something a customer can be charged for if it (still) isn't there when they check out. As we were getting ready to leave, I noticed a yellow, crusty looking substance on the bottom left corner of the sheets on the bed, where I had slept the past two nights. I was, and still am, absolutely disgusted & horrified by this. The employee who checked us out was the same one who checked us in. I don't know what the employee was wearing when we checked in on June 19th (not shoes!), but when we checked out on June 21st, he was wearing the same shirt that he had on when I noticed him on June 20th... He didn't ask how our stay was, or we would have told him at that point, since we didn't have to endure any more nights of sleeping there. I've stayed at other hotels in Shakopee before and have never had a problem. We wanted to try something new, but our experience at the AmeriVu was highly disappointing and quite unacceptable. I booked this hotel through Valleyfair's website, but I brought my concerns to the hotel's attention first, in hopes that AmeriVu would make things right. The joke was on me. They still haven't replied to me as of today, 7/28/24. I contacted Valleyfair, who spoke with someone at the hotel more than once, so the hotel is definitely aware of the situation, but still refuses to reply to me or rectify the situation. Absolutely disgusting room, horrible customer service. 0/10, would not recommend to my worst enemy. Apologies for the pictures not necessarily being in the right order.

Just Okay If you need a place to stay just to sleep, this would do. The beds are not very comfortable. There are a lot of other hotels in the area, I wouldn't pick this one again. The staff was very friendly, but the hotel was just not the best. Our room was not very clean, the floor was soaking wet between the beds when we checked in. The mini fridge had something sticky all over the door. The bathroom door had spots of gunk(no idea what it was) on both sides. The toilet didn't flush and the shower made a loud high pitched squealing sound when in use. The breakfast was just okay too, nothing amazing, and wasn't stocked fully all the time. The pool was okay, the property is in a more secluded area and close to a Kwik Trip which is a plus. If you need a quick place to stay this would work, but for the price, I think you could find something nicer in the same area.

Not worth the cost The final bill was almost $30/night more than quoted. No TP in the room at check in. No way to contact the front desk from the room. Breakfast was not warm. Would not recommend this place. Good location but definitely not worth the price. Nobody at the front desk at times.

Worst Radisson ever Too many issues to describe. One would be that they never asked me if I was a Rewards member and wanted to charge me full price. Desk personal argued with me and did care. to solve my concerns. Laundry Facilities not in service. Room has unpainted ceiling and very dirty bathtub. As far as the complimentary breakfast the only fruit available was apples that looked like they were weeks old.
