Holiday Inn Express St. Ignace-Lake Front by IHG

Look at pros and cons then decide Main attraction is location on water. Has chairs to use. Non fire at night. Nice room. Comfortable bed with extra pillows. Clean. Instant hot water. Breakfast was good. Typical selection. Helpful. We choose for shuttle to Mackinac which worked out great. However very over priced. The 2 noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Allows pets so just fyi.

Good place to stay in St Ignace We were happy with our stay at this hotel. My daughter did not love the sink being separate from the shower area. We stayed on the 4th floor with a little balcony facing the lake and with a great view of Mackinac Island. We had some bugs on the patio but the screen door kept them out of our room...and we expected so see bugs this time of year in Michigan. All of the staff was polite and helpful....we got alerted by onstar early one morning that we had a low tire on our car...very helpful man working at the front desk connected us with a local tire repair guy who met us at the hotel and fixed the tire. The hot tub and pool area was clean and nice to relax in after spending the day at the island. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean when we checked in. It was conveniently located close to the ferry docks and Java Joe's was a good breakfast and the restaurant at Breakers was a good dinner. We wished there was somewhere more walkable for an after dinner ice cream snack but we would definitely stay here again.

Need to do a better job cleaning the rooms! Location is good. We will change after the first night and might not book here again. The hotel requires to be kept well. Too many bugs , flies and ants. Ended up cleaning and bugs with the cleaner we had and had to spray mosquitoe repellent throughout the room… the patio could not be used

Always a great stay because of the great staff I stayed the first night of the season and there were a few opening day hiccups. The staff always resolves issues, professionally and courteously. Both Ricky and Lacy are Superior assets to your team, I will always return because of the great staff at this location. the view doesn’t suck either. Thank you so much for, being a dependable stay in the upper peninsula.

Great location! Friendly staff, room was immaculate, entire property was clean and well maintained. We had a lake view room with a nice little balcony. My only issue is with the internet. My phone could only connect in a specific spot near the lobby. My iPad and husband’s phone connected but it was a weak signal and kept dropping. The hotel is about a quarter mile from the ferries that take you to Mackinac Island, where there is free parking or a free shuttle will come to the hotel to pick you up. There is a nice restaurant and lounge right in the next door hotel, food was good! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others!
