Carlisle Bay

lovely resort, great for families and adults Such a wonderful place, very picturesque, lovely grounds and amazing water views. We were enjoying our week long stay from the moment we arrived at the resort, and were sad to leave at the end of our stay. The resort in along the southern coast, and the airport is on the northern coast. It's about a 20-30 minute drive, and the resort person who helped us at the airport was a huge help for our 11 person group. We ate well all week, but be prepared that 4 of the 5 restaurants are open air. Nice mix of food choices, but some restaurants are not always open. The drink service is kind of slow, which is unfortunate for the resort since we did not do all-inclusive for alcohol and they probably could have made a few more sales, lol. The grounds are amazing, and the staff that maintains them are excellent. One morning we did one of the activities where one of the grounds people walk the resort describing all the plants, flowers and even the birds, mongooses and such. Very cool experience and they have palms and plants from all over the world. Water activities --- wow! we did kayaking, jet skiing, and one of the boat trips from the bay and that was amazing. Two of us did the nearby zipling and that was a wonderful and exhilarating experience. Three of us did another resort-arranged activity --- the hike to Signal Hill and we highly recommend it! It did take 2 hours, instead of 1, and it was moderately challenging. But our guide, who was one of the resort's groundsmen, was fabulous and helped make the experience even better. And the 360 degree view of the entire island from the top of Signal Hill was unreal. We could have easily stayed another week and had plenty to do and would love to come back some day. Cheers!

heaven Amazing service, felt very comfortable and welcomed everywhere we went. Staff, especially Tony, very helpful in arranging various excursions. The sport centre was also great, offered a large variety of activities. Suite was clean, and every time we needed anything it was solved very fast. Food was tasty, good variety across the resort. Beach/pool staff very efficient. Everyone was sooooo friendly, felt right at home :)

Simply relaxing Great position on the beach in a lively bay. The facilities are extensive including tennis, water sports, pilates and yoga, and gym. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is good. This is a well managed hotel where everything is made easy.

Totally amazing, satisfying stay What a great resort and location, upon arrival you are greeted by a very friendly and positive staff. The lobby is very clean as well as the entire resort, they pay great attention and detail to cleanliness. The food is amazing, the beach and pool are fabulous. Aside from a few snooty Brits with bad attitude also staying at the resort, everyone is quite friendly and happy. The restaurant’s within the property are all very good, with great selection of tasty food and drink and wine selections, Larry the food and beverage manager is doing a fantastic job. Michael the wine expert is very good at helping choosing a wine to pair with your meal. He even does a wine tasting on the beach during your stay. Shawn the concierge was very attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay spectacular, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, the room decorations were beautiful. Thank You. The general manager is such a nice gentleman, took time to speak with all the guests and make sure everyone expectations were met. The hotel also arranged for transportation to see the sites outside of the resort, what a beautiful island Antigua is. I highly recommend doing the boat ride around the west side of the island along the Caribbean Sea, what amazing beauty. Myself and my Family had a fantastic time, everything was perfect, the rooms are amazing. The beach is so clean, and the water is beautiful and calm. Relaxing by the pool while getting drinks and eats was perfect, j-iece was such a gentleman, made sure we were very happy. I recommend getting a room with the ocean view, it’s spectacular, they also have tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball. And water sports and activities as well as a very beautiful spa.

Fantastic place to visit as a family! One of the best staff at a resort! This is the place to go to get spoilt by their staff. Great rooms, activities and fantastic restaurants. We went on a snorkelling 1/2 cruise and had a great time going to Cades Reef. I would highly recommend this place!
