Serene break after a long days drive! I found this place online because we were traveling with our pups and we wanted to stay somewhere halfway. I am so happy we did! The lake house was so quiet and relaxing! We sat outside and enjoyed the donkey and goats by the lake. My only recommendation is to bring food to cook because they are pretty far away from restaurants and have an awesome grill by the lake and a full kitchen. Margaret was super nice and met us at the lake house despite that we arrived around 8 pm and in the rain. This place is just a cool getaway. We will definitely stay again!

Ideal We stayed for a week toward the middle of July and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the big cabin by the pond and while the hosts were out of the country (so we couldn't try the breakfast), the caretaker was a very nice man. My mom was with us and she enjoyed watching the baby goats scamper through the fields.

Comfortable Lodging In A Scenic Country Setting We are repeat guests stopping here for the night on our drive to FL. This was our first time in the cabin/Pond House. My wife and I found the cabin to be very roomy and clean with full-size appliances that met all our needs. The beds are extremely comfortable. The cabin is located next to the pond and very near the main house. The setting is very picturesque and quiet throughout the night. The owners are outstanding in their helpfulness and most friendly. We are already looking forward to our trip next year when we plan to stay here once more!

A Beautiful Sanctuary & Wonderful Couple! Wow! My boyfriend and I were traveling to Florida from Tennessee and needed a place to stay along our long route right before the holidays. We prefer B&B type places, because staying in a hotel is so unoriginal and sometimes really noisy around the holidays. We found the Shalom house online and booked it as soon as we could. We recommend booking ASAP as it was also booked the morning we did. We now know why. We arrived as the sun was setting and met Margaret, Hank, and their grandkids playing outside. Immediately, she made us feel at home. The place was quiet, clean, artsy, and had a nice swing to watch the sunset over the pond with their animals keeping us cozy and well loved. My favorite part about their home is the gorgeous blue sky painted across the ceiling. I swear I forgot it wasn't real. Such a nice cozy room with all you ever need. There is also so much beauty here! They both gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner and when we came back they asked if we wanted to have a bonfire and smores, how generously sweet, we were so spoiled! They have so many hilariously wonderful stories, we were in TEARS laughing! We felt like family in a matter of hours. In the morning, Margaret prepared us a GORGEOUSLY delicious egg lasanga, which is probably the most delicious egg I've ever had, and Hank gifted us some homemade grape jam and an inspiring book for the road. These wonderful people are God sent, we feel so lucky to have met them and will definitely be visiting again! Thank you for making our stay the best part about our trip! We miss you and can't wait to be back again, Thank you so much!

Definitely Off The Beaten Path About 8 miles (or so) off I-95. Directions were pretty good. When we arrived (in the afternoon), there was no one there so we went back over to Tifton to kill some time. The rooms are adjoining the main house, through a door and down a hallway. Each bedroom (5 or 6) apparently has its own bath and TV. Bed was very comfortable, and it was VERY quiet. I guess you have to request your breakfast if you want something special. This is NOT a hotel; more like a boarding house.
