Overpriced and Shopworn but Cozy My wife and I have stayed here a number of times while visiting relatives. Motels in this area are no bargain. It might have something to do with being in easy distance of Barber Motorsports Park and Talladega Superspeedway. On this visit the exterior of the motel looked a bit battered, but our room was in better condition than on past visits. Cases of paint were in the lobby, suggesting that a facelift might be in the offing. The beds are comfortable and the HVAC unit in our room was quiet and efficient. The motel is located quite near I-59, but traffic noise is rarely an issue. Restaurants are nearby, and extensive shopping areas are up the hill. Breakfast is good. DIY waffles can be accompanied by egg and cheese omelets, cereal, muffins, bread, yogurt and fruit. The coffee and orange juice are good. The front desk clerks were attentive and helpful. Our Trussville visit was a success, and this was one of our better stays at the Quality Inn.

DO NOT STAY The hotel is something out of a bad movie. It had roaches so we had to leave our bags in the car. The beds were noisy and every time you moved the were loud. The air conditioner kept us up all night and we had them remove the chairs out of both our rooms as they were really stained and dirty. Front desk lady had an attitude with that. The rooms in the pictures were not what we stayed in and they serve breakfast but due to there beliefs they don't serve meat. We stayed with family all day to get away from there. Who ever owns these should check them out.

Needs more renovations! Room was OK, clean for most part but moldy ceiling and gross vents filled with dust. Found a pill on the floor and lots of crud on the doors. Breakfast was adequate but only white bread, no bagels or other types of bread. Only cows milk, no almond or soy.

Adequate But No More My wife and I have stayed here several times. In 2019 we had a number of issues with both the exterior and interior of the room. This time the room was better, although a bar of the towel rack had fallen off and had not been repaired. There were cigarette burns on the bathtub. The room was clean and the AC unit was quiet. The beds were comfortable, although the sheet metal edging around my bed clanked when i turned over. There was little road noise. The exterior of the motel continues to look beat-up. A fresh coat of paint would help a great deal. Breakfast was adequate, with most items pre-packaged. The motel used to offer daily USA Today copies in the lobby but this has been discontinued. For a two-star motel with issues, I paid just short of $100 a night with taxes. Travel seems to be expensive, post-COVID. We were visiting relatives and the Quality Inn did all right for the purpose.

Never again Hotel is run down, not clean, chair in room was stained, and hair in sink, and bathroom. Bed hurt my back, and pillows were lumpy and had a strange smell! It is the worst Choice Hotel we have ever stayed. Would not stay again! It has a breakfast that was ok.
