Virginia Beach 90th Birthday Celebration I enjoyed my stay here. Check in was awesome. There was a woman named Valerie that was very helpful and very friendly. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The water pressure wasn't the greatest but certainly fine and definitely had hot water. We did use the restaurant and was okay. Didn't like that the tip was automatically included. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Not Clean! I would think because it's a Hilton it would have a certain standard however I was very surprise on the cleanliness of the room. The hotel was outdated with old furniture and carpets in the room. But the big issue I had with everything was a stain the looked like blood on the bed sheet and the bathroom shower being dirty. Luckily I was there for only one night.

DoubleTree by name only This hotel is a double tree in name only. The front desk clerk, Alora wasn’t warm or hospitable, obviously just going through the motions. Didn’t even tell me how to find the elevators. Small thing, but no cookie. When I got to my room I first noticed the sheer curtain hanging off the rod. The next thing is the chip bag in the trash, one of the cups has the paper cover removed and set aside. Toilet paper on the floor, dried food in the desk seat and by the coffee maker, black hair on the bathroom floor. It honestly felt like someone took a break in the room before check in. The overwhelming smell of sewage in the hall way was a delight. The topper is no hot water in the shower. I waited and no steam, maybe I didn’t turn on the water correctly (every hotel is different), nope. I tried to shower despite the lack of warm water. The next day I expressed my frustration with the room. I was quickly given a hush money card for the hotel restaurant. Well seeing as I don’t drink and rarely eat out the $75 would just be a waste of food on me. The woman, Gabrielle, told me she would have to speak to her supervisor about compensation since I booked through a third party. I haven’t heard anything since. Actually when I walked through the lobby the next time, the desk clerks were happily giggling, I doubt the guest satisfaction is high on the priority list. I work in the hospitality industry and understand comp cards to try to appease customers, but the fact that I can’t even take a warm shower and no one is concerned is ridiculous. I want a hot shower, not some greasy sports bar food. The dead bugs in the window are a nice touch too. One night I walked past the same crumpled up paper towel in the lobby several times. Obviously the staff doesn’t care about appearance or cleanliness. I have since checked out with no resolution to the cold water issue. This place is a DoubleTree in name only, the hospitality I’ve come to know from the brand was severely lacking.

Great location, many cleanliness issues I do not recommend,SO many issues that show the hotel isn't being kept properly. The staff here are exceptional and always. eager to help, which is great. However, there were quite a few issues during our stay. We traveled with a large group and experienced several problems, like the AC breaking down, the bathroom ceiling falling due to flimsy material, and issues with the bathroom showers. The bathroom itself was also dirty and stained. We wore shower shoes but that was ridiculous given the amount to pay. The free, hassle-free parking and being close to the convention center and sports center being a 5-minute walk were good but so many of us had bad rest due to the ongoing issues that affected performance the following days. we had to use shower shoes to take a shower in a hotel room because it was rusted, dirty, and stained. You can ask to check your room before you actually get in and settled but they were not budging on helping many of us asking to switch rooms due to cleanliness issues.

I got a chance to see some other bathrooms and they all had the same filth. My question is "Where are the Supervisors"?? Lamps didnt provide enough lighting. Bed comfy. Refrigerator didn't cool my water. Bathroom Awful! Rim of sink fithy with soap scup, mold & mildew, also shower wall & floor. Shower so bad I wore flip flops, not getting in touching anything!
