Sonasty Suites It's easier to share the e-mail I sent to the company. I am disappointed with your response to the survey I completed regarding our stay at Sonesta ES Suites Chicago Waukegan Gurnee. In the survey, I mentioned finding a pair of used panties under clean towels on the bathroom counter. This caused me to worry about the overall cleanliness of the room, leading to a poor night's sleep. When we informed the gentleman at the front desk the following morning and showed him pictures of the panties, my husband and I received a tepid response: "I'm sorry about that; I'll let housekeeping know." In your response to the survey, we received a similarly canned and vague response regarding the property's cleanliness issue. You did not mention the incident in your email or explain how your team plans to rectify the situation. As a result of this experience, I am hesitant to recommend this property to the several groups I am part of, who often travel to the area for graduations. I am more inclined to discourage them from staying at Sonesta ES Suites Chicago Waukegan Gurnee. This incident left a lasting impression on my family, and we have renamed Sonesta Suites 'Sonasty Suites '.

They charge to park. Old and grungy furniture and beds. Horrible place. Horrible place. They charge to park. Paid over $1000 for 5 nights and I find out at checkout they charge $5 a day to park, plus tax!!! The room was old, the carpet was furniture needed to be replaced years ago. Not to mention the noise from above.

Terrible service. Employees need to be replaced. Horrible place. Terrible service. Everything is dirty and outdated. Management and maintenance guy are very rude and hostile. Insurances should not continue doing services with this hotel. Left traumatized.. Stay away. Maintenance guy makes negative comments to minor children.

Find Somewhere Else We were attending the Navy Recruit graduation at Great Lakes, needed a two bedroom suite, and this was the only one offered in an acceptable price range. If you're considering this hotel I have one word.... don't. Everything is very dated and worn, that happens, but it is dirty and you're on your own for replenishing towels, etc. In our room there were webs on the ceiling, hair (yuck) in the bathroom drawers, a white, dried substance on the bathroom cabinet and drawers which I hope was toothpaste, not sure. Carpets not clean, especially in the corners, nothing smelled fresh or clean. It was a very very disappointing experience. Since we had a sailor on liberty, finding another place to stay wasn't possible. We would have spent all our time searching and then moving. The breakfast was just ok, but a nice amenity. This parking lot was filthy and some guests did not pick up after their dogs, enough said. Never again. There may be nicer Sonesta Suites in another city, but personally I would never chance it.

Wouldn’t stay here Got to the hotel and didn’t feel safe. The rooms aren’t connected to the lobby. Saw a bug run across my floor. Supposedly not the best area—didn’t know that. I checked out before opening my luggage. I knew it was weird when they were charging me $100 deposit.
