Plenty of other hotels in Wildwood Please read the negative reviews and believe them.  The owner saying "you stayed the whole visit," when there's a no refund policy.  Of course they did and they also can't respond to the owner's defensive response.   We booked because it's a smoking friendly hotel and my mom is handicapped.  Imagine checking in and being told you have 1 parking spot for 2 rooms.  The booking had 2 doors for entry, 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens with a max capacity of 6 and 1 parking spot. There are not enough parking spots per room and they don't offer any other options for parking. Max at check in couldn't even give verbal suggestions of where to find free parking. Very frustrating, especially with 2 handicapped people in our party. The rooms are small, dimly lit, there's not even a place to hang your wet towels, the outlets don't work, the headboard was corkboard with nails sticking out, the spring mattress on a platform had a plastic liner that felt like sleeping on a diaper.  The air-conditioning isn't consistent and goes off at night.  Poor sleep quality all around. No one monitors the property except to police the parking.  A hair extension stayed by the pool until there was maintenance the next morning and there were dirty dishes up by the grill area on the second floor our entire visit. There are plenty of hotels in Wildwood on the beach, this one isn't it. Positives: The beach is a shorter walk, the restaurant is pretty good and Juan.  Juan helped my mom with many things including a broken TV.  He was very nice and helpful during our stay.

Nice stay with some areas lacking A few weeks ago, my family and I took a last-minute trip to Wildwood, and the Coliseum was one of the few affordable hotels with availability. The location is excellent, with direct beach access and a 25-30 minute walk to the boardwalk. Plus, there’s a café at the hotel, which serves breakfast to dinner. The pool is warm and makes for a good swim. The service was prompt. When we arrived around 8 p.m., the burner in our kitchenette wasn’t working. The front desk quickly put in a work order, and someone came first thing in the morning to fix it. As for housekeeping - we only needed towel changes, and they were very quick to provide new and clean towels. The room seemed recently renovated, featuring new beds, TVs, chairs, kitchenware, a new hardwood floor, a new bathroom, sofa, and table. However, despite the renovations, there were a few areas that could be improved. Some of the outlets were outdated and could barely hold our chargers. The walls and sofa had dark stains. The kitchenette was small, and the coffee machine and toaster didn’t fit on the countertop, so they were stored in cabinets. This made using them a bit inconvenient as we always had to pull them out from the drawer. When they were out, we couldn't keep anything else on the counter top. The bathroom lacked counter space around the sink and had only a small cabinet above it, which wasn’t ideal for storing toiletries. Additionally, there was no hook for towels, which was inconvenient for us. Overall, having visited Wildwood around 10 times in the last 22 years and stayed at various hotels, I found the Coliseum to be similar to others in the area. It’s a decent hotel and offers a good stay.

For smokers only You have to walk through cigarette smoke to get to your room. It seems like everyone is outside their room smoking/drinking at all times… it’s pretty gross. The room itself is fine… low end amenities, small sinks, kind of beat up but clean. The benefit to this place is it’s right next to the sand. But unless you are a smoker or you don’t care like your clothes smelling like smoke when you enter your room don’t stay here.

Nobody answering communications to make reservations! Trying to make reservations for next trip. Two emails sent on Jan 7th and 21st - no reply. Both 609 and 866 numbers just keep ringing and just hang up. No option to leave voicemail. They have Comcast email which can be checked from a phone. Is anyone there?
