Hampton Inn Wilson Downtown

Questionable cleaning, disappointing stay Upon walking into my room, the first thing I noticed was that the tile floor in the entry was sticky on my shoes. Not just one spot, but the entire thing. Bathroom too. Making a peeling noise with every step I took. I then noticed that the bed linens were disturbed, as if someone had sat on the bed or leaned on the bed after it was made. This made me wonder if the room had been properly cleaned. Later, my colleagues told me that their floor was sticky as well. The carpet also felt like it had a coating on it, and left residue on my feet. The next morning, after I showered, I didn't want to walk on the floor so I used the bathmat to shuffle to my suitcase and retrieve my slippers. Turned over the bathmat that had traveled about 5 feet on the floor, and it was black filthy from the tiles. Clearly the floors aren't attended to. This makes one wonder what else isn't attended to. The desk chair was bent and couldn't be used safely. It's shocking to me that this hotel has the high rating it does. I wanted to provide the above feedback to Hilton directly, but interestingly of the 4 Hilton properties I've stayed in this week, this hotel is the only one that didn't send a survey.

okay stay Nice and quite with beautiful common areas: this HI is gorgeous: nice high ceilings and beautiful lobby and breakfast area. Breakfast was good: variety of foods: eggs and chicken tenders. I love there were working hand sanitizer everywhere. We were acknowledged HI members and received bottle water and cookies. They place a $25 "incidentals" on your bill make sure you get that refunded. The worse thing was the room itself: very dark: very limited lighting: lights at bed and desk. The window treatments horrible: the light comes in and it isn't good sleeping. I would say we were next to elevator and ice machine and there was no noise into our room. There are pro and cons staying here. Mixed review.

Clean accommodations, great staff I was pleased with the cleanliness and the sanitation practices at this hotel. The room was a little on the small end for a junior suite, but it was clean. Bed was a little hard for my preference. Staff were helpful.

A good night's sleep Looking for a quick stop on the way North on I-95. This property isn't right on 95, but isn't too far (and goes by a number of restaurants, etc.). Staff was friendly, and we got the usual great service from a Hampton Inn. I mistakenly left my watch in the room, but they called me later that day and offered to ship it to me. Rooms were clean, hotel was quiet (we did arrive at 1AM). Great stay - we'll be back here.

Everything was great Our stay at this Hampton Inn could not have been better. The lady at the front desk and the manager were extremely pleasant and helpful. Their restaurant recommendation resulted in us having a wonderful dining experience.
