Not sure yet The hotel itself was nice and clean. We did not use the breakfast vouchers so I can't offer a review on that. Booked through Expedia, but when we arrived we were told we had to pay a $50 a day damage fee that is supposed to be refundable. I have never had to pay this at a hotel. Waiting for the refund at this time.

Horrible Ripoff hotel for anyone trying to hold an event that required communication with hotel management. The senior staff tried to hide to avoid questions. Serving staff were great. One guest was overcharged and had to go to a lot of trouble for a correction. Management ignored questions about billing. I'll never go here again.

Tired and overrated. This hotel is in desperate need of an influx of cash and a major refresh. I stayed here five years ago and it was great. Now, it is worn, tired and not clean enough. Not a 4 star class. Listen up corporate! Will not be back unless they put work into it.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BEWARE OF HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had plans to come down the same weekend as the Wake Forest graduation, albeit for a different reason, and many of the hotels in the area were booked. This one had rooms, but at an outrageously inflated price for a Doubletree - $300-400/night. I paid in advance for two nights. I wound up not being able to make it and tried calling the hotel number listed on the Hilton website to explain the situation. I called while it was still three weeks in advance and they could still have sold the room to someone else, and they probably did, so they most likely double-dipped at the inflated price. The number on the Hilton website does not get you to the hotel, even though it looks like a local number, but rather a central Hilton customer service center that seems to be located in another country. After explaining the situation, I had to stay on hold for a long time, but eventually the Hilton Customer Service representative came back and told me I would get a refund, but that it could take a while. I waited a few weeks and nothing happened. I tried to get a status update by messaging Customer Service on the Hilton website. No response for a few days. Then I reached out again. The second time I reached out I got a response directing me to call the hotel, but not really offering any further explanation, or giving me a number to call other then the one listed on the Hilton website. I tried calling the hotel again and instead got the overseas Customer Service center like the first time. They placed me on hold for a while, then came back and said the hotel refused to give me a refund, despite the earlier Hilton employee telling me I would get a refund. No explanation was given other than the rate was non-refundable. I tried to see if I could get a credit toward a later stay and they said I could not. There was also no compromise like a refund for one night. I tried to see if I could appeal to someone at Hilton corporate and was told there was really no one else I could speak to. Perhaps I could try reaching the hotel directly, but the person I spoke to said it was unlikely they would change and he did not offer a direct number. After talking to the admittedly sympathetic Hilton Customer Service rep for a while about my apparent lack of recourse, I learned this is a franchise and not centrally owned by Hilton. I was not aware that most Hiltons are franchises. That seems to be the reason Hilton corporate could not do anything, despite me being a Hilton Honors member. Not only will I not stay at this location, especially after the other reviews about the condition of, and service at, this hotel, but I will probably think twice about any Hilton location after this experience. At least I will not depend on the Hilton name. It apparently guarantees nothing.

My over-rated, over-priced stay at The Doubletree Hilton. After paying over $400 per night for two nights, I expected much more. The vaunted I-phone room key failed to open my door, even after a reset by the front desk. The bathroom tub would not hold water due to a faulty stopper and there were no grab bars in the shower. There was no pen and paper for notes. The maid failed to make-up our room on the second day even after being notified that the room was available for service. Lastly, after paying so much for the room I refuse to pay $15 for breakfast. Given a choice, I will stay elsewhere in the future.
