The Beckett Ridge championship golf course was laid out in 1975 by famed architect Jack Kidwell, who designed and renovated more than 100 courses in Ohio as well creating courses in Florida, Indiana and Kentucky. The Course has always been top-ranked in Southwest Ohio, known for its well-groomed fairways and greens. But it's also popular because it has five par-5s and five par-3s. In designing the 6,857-yard course, Kidwell made excellent use of the rolling terrain with some of the finest views that you can see for miles around. You'll find meandering streams and mature trees that provide deep green shade in summer and blazing reds and golds in the fall. Four sets of tees are available to challenge all levels of golfers and strategy will play an important role in your round.
Our 9-hole executive style course is 2,198 yards, with flat fairways and a number of trees that come into play. The course is easy to walk and enjoyed by young and old. As the name indicates, it was the first course built at the Kenton County complex in 1968. The Pioneer course is 5,880 yards with a rating of 68.4, a slope of 115, and a par of 70. It is like most mid-western courses, slightly sloping on the front nine with increasing slopes on the back. Easily the most walkable course at the complex. Power carts are optional and they may be taken across the fairway at 90 degrees (weather permitting).

The championship course is called with great respect, the Grizzly, tying in naturally with Nicklaus nickname "The Golden Bear." Desmond Muirhead's influence is evidenced throughout the course by long multi-curved fairways with large trees retained as natural hazards. There are water hazards on all three of the final holes accompanied by plenty of bunkers. Nicklaus and Muirhead built the course in 1972. Jack Nicklaus initiated the idea of hosting a professional tournament at his new facility and became the first contestant for the PGA Tour's Ohio Kings Island Open. The versatility of the Grizzly course allowed for a longer course for the PGA Tour men in 1973 through 1977, a reduced length for the LPGA women who followed in 1978 through 1989, and a challenging length for the Senior Tour who played here from 1980 through 2001.
The par-71 golf course at Hickory Sticks Golf Club in California, Kentucky measures over 6,100 yards from the back tees. The Club opened for play in 1998 and continues to be a popular choice for area golfers.
