A Chat with Skipnotherapy LLC
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
I am a certified clinical hypnotherapist with the National Guild of Hypnotists and the Oregon Hypnotherapy Association. I specialize in chronic pain relief, stress management, weight loss, smoking cessation, fears and phobias, educational, career and sports performance, sleep improvement, and more.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I wanted to offer clients solutions to physical and psychological problems where typical medical, pharmaceutical, and psychotherapy solutions failed. Hypnotherapy [helps produce] life-improving changes quickly and naturally for a wide variety of physical and subconsciously produced issues.
What do you love most about your job?
I love helping clients make changes that quickly improve the quality of their lives [in areas] where other solutions have failed. Watching them achieve successes and making life-improving changes in areas that have plagued them for years and where they thought they would never succeed is highly rewarding.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
Helping clients manage symptoms of cancer and Parkinson's has been awesome!
It’s 2008 and Tobie Theis is thinking about her next move. For 15 years she’s been sharpening her hair- and nail-styling skills while working in a number of different salons. But, she wants the autonomy to fulfill her potential and make her vision for a salon real. Together with her husband Joe, the two set off to finally achieve a mutual lifelong dream: owning their own salon.
Since that bold step, Tobie has overseen the blossoming of Eden's Apple Salon & Day Spa into a full-service beauty oasis that offers everything from haircuts and extensions to massages and tanning. Within three months, Tobie and Joe had completely renovated the interior of the salon, filling it out with arched thresholds, shelves full of salon products, and a wall-sized mural of a beautiful woman. In time, her team also grew, now including eight hairstylists, two aestheticians, a licensed massage therapist, a nail technician, and the woman in the mural—whose large eyes can spot any aesthetic imperfections.
At Innerhealth Clinic & Spa you are pampered by an experienced group of licensed cosmeticians, laser technicians, and acupuncturists. The clinic is dedicated to holistic skincare and uses only the finest natural products. Guiding the practice is Dr. Angela Pfaffenberger, a PhD in psychology who has 20 years of experience in the Oriental medicine field. Also a teacher at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, she has presented her research at the American Psychological Association’s annual convention and regularly has her academic work published in peer-reviewed journals and coloring books. Dr. Pfaffenberger and her staff offer acupuncture facelifts, weight management, microcurrent facial rejuvenation, and laser services, such as hair permanent hair removal and photofacials.
Aaron Meiggs grew up on a farm outside Independence, Oregon, where he had ample opportunity to work with his hands, an opportunity he loved. Then one day, a severe car accident left his lifestyle in ruin. On good days, Aaron was uncomfortable; the bad days were excruciating. It was only through a therapeutic process called Rolfing structural integration that Aaron's functionality was restored. Rolfing mitigates trauma in connective tissues to help align the body and ease chronic tension. Now Aaron has found a new use for his hands, healing others out of his own Rolfing studio.
Though Dr. Christian Wissinger heads Healing Hands Clinic of Natural Therapies, he considers the services offered therein most exceptional because of the team he's assembled. The staff includes chiropractors such as himself, massage therapists, and acupuncturists along with physical therapist and personal trainers. Each team member spends time learning what another's services are best at accomplishing. This allows them to provide interdisciplinary treatment for each client, combining their techniques to effectively rehabilitate injury or relieve chronic pain.
