Francisco Gomes began his professional life as a preacher, but found his path soon leading him to the world of real estate. It was his love of talking to people that got him there, and his love of talking to people that lead him to success. Ultimately he became the director of ABS School of Real Estate & Insurance, where he and his staff help guide people down that same real-estate path. Through courses and books, the pros prep students to earn a real estate-license or a home-inspector's certification so they can charge people every time they say, "Nice house."
The staff members at Sylvan Learning's numerous study facilities understand that each child learns differently. Therefore, they don?t try to implement a uniform tutoring system; instead, they design custom lesson programs based on the results of standardized testing, diagnostic tools, and one-on-one interviews.
Tutors work with students from kindergarten through grade 12, illuminating topics ranging from basic reading and writing to remembering complex algebraic formulas without having them tattooed on your chest. Many of Sylvan?s instructors work in local schools, so they are intimately familiar with common curricula and understand how to gear lessons toward optimal results. After-school and summer classes can ready high-schoolers for the rigors of the ACT or the SAT, or they can help students to wow college-admissions officers with their superior essay-writing skills.
Better Baller Athletics is more than a basketball training program; it's an investment in the future. Of course, the court-proven staffers are tirelessly dedicated to improving their students' game. Their work doesn't end at the buzzer, though. They're also dedicated to making sure each of their students get a shot at a college education. That's why the school supplements their hoops lessons with educational programming such as the Books and Basketball Summer Institute, which hones math, reading, and writing skills between basketball lessons. They also sponsor a college prep course, which focuses on SAT preparation, selecting a major, tips on financing, and which mascot would win in a fight. These lofty goals are more easily attained with the occasional help of celebrity coaches from the NBA, who stop in to share insights from basketball's biggest stage.

In 1977, career educators Eileen and Raymond Huntington opened the first Huntington Learning Center in Oradell, New Jersey. Their mission to give every child the best education possible is still going strong. They use an individualized approach to education, adjusting instructional tactics according to each student’s particular needs.
Due to their success in helping K–12 students prepare for exams and improve grades and study skills, there are currently 260 Huntington franchises open nationwide.

Tutors note student response to different testing and academic situations to craft a methodology sensitive to each child’s learning style. Teachers adhere to the company’s code of ethics that stresses professionalism and confidentiality, encouraging students to improve grades honestly through dedicated study rather than shortcuts.
