The beauty experts at Busy Brows specialize in eyelash extensions, a procedure that enhances the length, thickness, and fullness of natural eyelashes. But their services aren't just limited to eyelashes. They also offer threading, a procedure that helps shape eyebrows into stylish arches or avant-garde zigzags, bronze the skin with organic spray tans, and remove hair from any area of the body during waxing treatments.

Once upon a time, Bigoudi International Salon was Bigoudi Japan, a company led by CEO Makoto Akita. More than a decade ago, though, Makoto visited Los Angeles for a hairstyling conference, and became convinced of the need to take her salon international.
Though the Woodland Hills salon still maintains firm ties to Japan, American customers can now get Bigoudi cuts and color without a passport. House stylists fly to Osaka often to master the latest Japanese trends, which gives them a fashion-forward edge when they return to the States. That being said, they'll still happily craft simple, wash-and-wear styles upon request, using products from top brands such as Moroccan Oil.
The Establishment Salon is an Aveda concept salon in Silver Lake, one of Los Angeles’ hippest and most youthful neighborhoods. Treatments include haircuts, coloring, waxing, makeup, eyelash tinting and assorted skin services; only Aveda products are used, of course. The glass front lets in a lot of light, hitting warm wooden accents throughout, and the front of their store stocks a wide variety of those same in-use products, which can be purchased on site for those interested in perfecting their look at home. The Establishment also offers a full service French press coffee and tea to all of their clients inside the smallish space, where only six salon stations and one spa treatment room exist.
Operating out of what appears to be a reconditioned one-story apartment building on Washington Boulevard, Eye Do Lashes has an exterior that in no way suggests the quality, salon-like service held inside. However, the eyelash-centric shop has a devoted clientele of mostly local ladies that return for its lash extensions and tinting. Eye Do takes its time when customers are in the chair; appointments here can take up to 90 minutes and the salon itself suggests bringing an iPod while services are being rendered. That also extends to Eye Do’s facials, waxing and threading services; no matter how busy the sunny, brightly-colored shop gets, clients get the attention they need.
