Catering to competitive athletes as well as casual enthusiasts, Peak Performance Fitness' instructors motivate visitors to bolster their quality of life and overall wellbeing with training regimens that address specific attributes. Their high-intensity routines are designed to improve agility, balance, or speed, although they can also adopt a broader approach. Circuit training and CrossFit workouts based on functional exercises each emphasize the importance of engaging muscle groups across the entire body. Similarly, the mixed martial arts and boxing classes incorporate practical skills into total-body workouts, developing strength and stamina while teaching attendees how to safely defend themselves and subdue sentient punching bags.
Though their workouts are tough, the trainers promote a friendly and noncompetitive atmosphere in which fit-seekers of any ability can get into shape. Further enriching their clients' wellness, they also offer nutritional guidelines.
At Pivotal Athletics CrossFit, a team of professional trainers motivates exercisers to become fitter and healthier versions of themselves. They lead guests in functional workouts, which are designed to make everyday physical activities easier, such as climbing stairs or chasing down cows for dinner. CrossFit's collegial—but competitive—character means participants are constantly pushing one another to higher and higher levels of performance, while also instilling a sense of accountability in one another. Their Workout of the Day, an ever-changing roster of functional movements, might include powerlifting, gymnastics, or tire-flipping on any given day, all designed to sculpt physiques and improve health, regardless of age.
Balls fly across five courts at The Pacific Juniors Volleyball Club, where young sports enthusiasts play recreational volleyball and train to perform better. Volleyball programs target every type of player, from kids hoping to gain new skills to teens who want to spike balls on the beach, while camps and clinics test players' abilities. In the facility's weight room, members build endurance on a treadmill, strengthen muscles using free weights, or workout on the turf area.
Mark Morcos and Morcus Messiha, both certified personal trainers and CrossFit instructors, are passionate about pushing workouts to the limit. Their skills are in top form inside R.O.E.I.C CrossFit, a spacious gym filled with medicine balls, kettlebells, giant tires, weights, and open mat space. The pair guides groups through high-intensity, functional exercises during daily-changing classes, or takes on one person at a time during personal-training sessions.
