What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
My training is very individualized and created with the goals of my clients at the core. I have a background in endurance sports with a focus on core strength & mobility.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Every training session will be different and creative. Goals will be discussed and clients are held accountable.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I have worked in "big-box" gyms before and they cant deliver to level of personal training that being an independent business person an and does provide. I LOVE knowing that everyday I help people get better!
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to help someone accomplish a goal they never thought possible is the best part of what I do, if it is weightloss or run a faster / stronger marathon, or just fell better & move better that they ever dreamed. We all want to look good naked,
Personal trainer Lori Johnson and nutritionist Jackie Mitchell wanted to create a one-stop shop for clients' exercise and dietary needs. LJ's Powerhouse's fitness classes range from classic workouts such as yoga to modern workouts such as TRX suspension training and BOSU ball training. Nutrition services help exercisers stay healthy outside of class with such options as the Shopping Smart package, where a consultant accompanies the client to the grocery store, and the Pantry Raid package, where a consultant removes unhealthy food stored in kitchen cabinets and fridges or stashed out of sight in the VCR.
When water reaches a temperature of 211 degrees, it's still water. One degree higher, however, and the liquid swiftly transforms into steam. It's an apt metaphor for 212 Degrees Fitness, where certified personal trainers—including 2009 Golden Gloves winner Delisa Novak—help students transform their physiques with engaging workouts. Ranging from boot camp to kickboxing to yoga, the studio's small-group sessions blend cardio and strength training into concise, 30- to 45-minute full-body workouts. For clients with specific fitness goals in mind—from slimming waistlines to sculpting a six-pack atop another six-pack—212 Degrees' personal trainers also host private appointments.
Orangetheory Fitness Group Personal Trainers combine their muscle and anatomy expertise with the technology of heart-rate-monitoring devices to produce results for clients. They guide studio-goers through 60-minute workouts that rotate between treadmills, rowing machines, suspension body-weight training bands, and free weights. They use the heart-rate monitors to ensure that clients stay in the ideal calorie-burning zone as they engage larger muscles through weightlifting, encouraging the body to consume as much energy as possible.
