Oil changes are getting pretty expensive. Let's face it, everything is getting pretty expensive. Gone are the days when you could get a quality, full-synthetic oil change the same day, without an appointment, for $30. Ah, the good old days... (Get off my lawn. End rant.) But time is money, and the quicker I can get my oil changed, the sooner I'm back out there doing something else with my precious time. So when I choose where to get my oil changed, I'm looking for the best combination of speed (quick in/out; no appointment needed), quality (trustworthy, full-synthetic oil; full inspection, fluid top offs, etc.), and value (lowest price for the first two factors). This Groupon for an oil change at Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Zeeland, Michigan scored 10/10 in all three of those areas. Speed: I didn't need an appointment and there was nobody in front of me when I arrived. I was immediately directed in and the crew started my oil change. They were done in under 15 minutes, and that included a thorough inspection. Quality: My engine was given Valvoline full-synthetic oil (a brand I trust) and my washer fluid was topped off. Throughout the oil change, one technician walked me through each step, clearly and professionally explaining everything. While he did, two other technicians changed my oil and inspected my vehicle (all lights, wipers, tire pressure check and inflation to proper pressure, fluid level inspection, top off of washer fluid, air filter inspections-engine and cabin, etc.). As they did, they noted anything that needed attention. The technician next to my driver-side door explained each issue needing attention, the reason it was important, and the price for that service. There was a lot of useful information and zero pressure or hard-sell tactics for any services I declined. When my oil change was completed, one of the technicians told me exactly how much oil had been removed and replaced (excellent for spotting any leaks) and showed me my dipstick indicating the correct oil level. Value: This was a fair price for the outstanding quality and convenience, particularly with the additional Groupon local deal savings. The service at this Valvoline location was exceptional! All three staff members were extremely professional, polite, and informative. They were extremely thorough and efficient. They even told me that I am welcome to stop in anytime between my next oil change for a free oil level and fluid check, and they would top off anything that is low at that time. Overall, I will definitely return to Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Zeeland, Michigan for my next oil change. I highly recommend this location.
