Orlando Tours

Whether you’re a local who wants to know your city better or a traveler trying to make the most of your time in Orlando, tours are one of the best ways to hit the highlights. Find hidden gems with options such as Orlando Food Tours or a downtown adventure from Discover Leisure, both of which help you discover new points of interest and things to do in Orlando. Attractions might include stops to explore the architecture of the historical Church Street district or the charm of a vintage candy shop. You can also get an aerial view with Orlando Balloon Rides or skim the surface by paddling on one of the Lake Eola Swan Boats on the city’s most iconic lake.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some of the most popular non‑theme‑park outings near Orlando include Wild Florida’s drive‑thru safari in Kenansville, monster truck eco‑safaris at Showcase of Citrus in Clermont, airboat rides near Kissimmee, and attraction passes that bundle spots like Kennedy Space Center and local museums. These are easy day trips that you can reach in about an hour by car.

Most Orlando‑area sightseeing experiences run from about $20–$40 per adult for boat tours, farm attractions, and drive‑thru safaris, while flight and helicopter tours often start around $120–$160 per person. Multi‑attraction passes and seasonal promotions can bring per‑attraction pricing down when you plan a full sightseeing itinerary.

Yes, families often choose the Wild Florida drive‑thru safari, the Showcase of Citrus monster truck tour, airboat rides near Kissimmee, and petting farms in the Kissimmee area because you can stay together, move at an easy pace, and still see plenty of animals. Many options welcome strollers and offer shaded or indoor breaks.

Attraction passes such as the Go City Orlando Explorer Pass can be strong value because you prepay for a set number of experiences, then choose from major sights like museums, guided city tours, and select theme‑area attractions. Travelers often save up to around half off regular gate prices when they use the pass for high‑ticket stops.

Booking Orlando‑area boat and river tours in advance is strongly recommended, especially for two‑hour wildlife cruises and popular airboat rides near Kissimmee and the Indian River Lagoon. Many operators allow same‑day reservations online, but peak morning and sunset departures can sell out during busy weeks and holidays.

Orlando offers tethered balloon rides at Disney Springs, scenic helicopter flights over areas like Walt Disney World and SeaWorld, and introductory flight lessons from Kissimmee that double as sightseeing tours. These flights are usually short, around 8–45 minutes, but deliver broad skyline and theme‑park views in a single outing.

Indoor stops such as the World of Chocolate Museum on International Drive, Museum of Illusions, and the Orlando Auto Museum at Dezerland Park work well when it is rainy or very hot. These attractions typically take one to two hours and combine exhibits with photo spots or tastings in air‑conditioned spaces.

Many locals and visitors use Groupon to find discounted tickets for Orlando sightseeing, including drive‑thru safaris, monster truck eco‑tours, river wildlife cruises, museum admission, and helicopter flights. Offers often show clear savings off regular gate prices and sometimes include extras like meal credits or souvenir photos.

The ability to casually walk through the park without having the feeling of fighting large crowds to see the attractions is great. Would do this park over and over again.

Guided Museum Tour with Chocolate Tasting for 2
Dave, who lead our tour, was great. Nice mix of knowledge and great sense of humor, so we were kept engaged. At the end of the tour, we tasted some delicious chocolates! The cafe is well appointed. You can buy the chocolates that were tasted on the tour but they also had beautiful single pieces in a variety of flavors. Delicious hot chocolate and coffees are available, as well as, wine flights. A very nice non-Disney experience.
