The classes, workshops, and art therapy sessions at MBodied Art Studio all strive to create a nurturing, low-key, and positive environment where visitors of all ages can hone in on their inner artist. Half-day workshops for kids ages 7 and up give developing brains the opportunity to explore painting and a variety of other mediums during Friday and Saturday meetings. More in-depth eight-week courses?for both kids and adults?focus on specific projects and specialized techniques, including painting landscapes, drawing dragons, and sketching chalk doors to gain entrance to the netherworld. The studio even helps little ones deal with traumatic events with therapeutic sessions designed to help kids use art to work through anger issues or the confusion of a divorce.

  • Global DJ Academy
Inside the booths at Global DJ Academy, one will find instructors such as Walt White, a 15-year veteran DJ who goes by the name Dark Agenda, and Elliot Overson––aka DJ Wushu––demonstrating the art of thrilling crowds armed only with a set of turntables and records. The team collectively accounts for thousands of hours of experience both teaching and performing for live nightclub audiences, unlike amateur DJs who only play for those living above and below them. This level of experience ensures that the academy’s 2,500 square-foot facility is put to good use as they impart their knowledge to students using its two production studios, soundproof recording booth, and six DJ workstations. Students can expect to learn skills ranging from the basics to advanced analog techniques, such as scratching and effects, all on the school’s modern user interfaces as well as production software.

  • Whimsy Paint and Sip
Inspired by the idea that creativity should be not only about expression but also about having fun in the process, the staff at Whimsy Paint and Sip Art Studio shows groups how to make colorful works of art with easy-to-follow steps. Layering colorful paints on canvases provided by the studio, students build compositions ranging from re-creations of modern masterpieces to landscapes and still lifes. During painting events, guests can sip on a variety of beer or Colorado wines available by the glass or bottle, or choose a margarita or martini. Beyond the weekly events, the staff maintains a selection of canvases and frames in their boutique and also hosts birthday parties where children have fun playing with paint and parents can figure out if the tuition to that preschool of the arts is paying off.
