Operated by the Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival Society, a registered non-profit society, Dragon Zone Paddling Club makes it easy for people to experience the ancient art of dragon boating, as well as many other types of paddle sports. In addition to 10- and 20-person dragon boats, the club equips guests with canoes, six-person outriggers, one-person outriggers, and kayaks.
For those who are new to dragon boating, Dragon Zone Paddling Club offers four-week classes that introduce basic techniques and get participants used to working as a team. More specialized workshops supplement foundational skills with more advanced instruction, which is especially useful for anyone who decides to join a racing team.

The Hawaiian sport of stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is both fun, and great form of exercise. Lakes, rivers, oceans, ponds...SUP can be experienced wherever there is a body of water. Stoke Harvester offers SUP rentals, and guided tours of the Puget Sound, and Lake Washington. Experience the water like never before.
Surrounded on every side by the city's urban landscape, Lake Union affords a unique vantage point from which to see the Seattle skyline. The captains of Lake Union Charters and Adventures take advantage of this view by chartering adventures aboard the Solana, a sailing sloop outfitted with a full galley, icebox, and bathroom. Sailing adventures range from sunset cruises to girls' night out sails, as well as sailing lessons that give students hands-on experience in tacking, jibing, and whittling a peg leg. For an elevated experience, the captains also sweep passengers off on dinner cruises aboard the schooner Lavengro, a historic, 63-foot wooden vessel first launched in 1926 and named after George Borrow's novel Lavengro: The Scholar, the Gypsy, the Priest.
Sound Excursions describes their carefully curated group experiences as "field trips for adults." It's easy to see why: every outing takes groups to a new realm of Washington, whether it's the frothy shores of Puget Sound, inland forests and mountains, or tables at Seattle's thriving restaurants. The events held at these diverse locations range from culinary workshops on topics such as sushi-making and moonshine-tasting, to adventurous excursions with whitewater rafting or kayaking, to laid-back themed party cruises. For many outings, luxury transportation is provided.
Alki Kayak Tours offers Seattle and West Seattle sea-kayak tours that chart courses along the Alki peninsula and the Duwamish River. They also pass by the wildlife areas of Elliott Bay, the Alki Lighthouse, and other scenic spots in Puget Sound.
Alki Kayak Tours' team also leads standup-paddleboard tours and rents fishing boats, longboards, and other gear. Whatever the activity, Alki Kayak Tours provides everything necessary, save for a water bottle to stay hydrated and a sense of adventure that doesn't dissolve in water.
