Before she became a dentist, Dr. Denise Mitchell worked for two years as a dental hygienist, an experience that gives her a unique understanding of the importance of keeping teeth clean. Today, she continues to champion that basic tenet of dental care: Even though she’s equipped with the tools and know-how to replace missing teeth with dental implants, touch up smiles with veneers, or straighten teeth with invisalign, she approaches dentistry conservatively. Dr. Mitchell would rather see patients keep their natural teeth than have to replace them.
In keeping with this patient-first philosophy, Dr. Mitchell’s office is designed expressly to keep visitors comfortable. During cleanings and checkups, the massaging dental chair kneads back muscles while heated neck pillows melt away tension and clinging snowmen. The uncannily efficient staff also strives to minimize wait times, generally keeping patients on hold for no more than 5–10 minutes.
