Oktoberfest Northwest, presented by Metro PCS, thrums with live performances of both traditional favorites and contemporary polka-fied tunes all weekend long. Visitors cheer on their favorite teams in the Sport Haus, outfitted with HDTVs, and entertain their kids a Root Beer Garden, free pumpkin decorating and more. The event turns 21+ after 7 p.m.
Beer steins are everywhere at the annual Oktoberfest Northwest festival––even in the 5K dash on Sunday. Each racer hauls an empty stein to the finish line, where they celebrate by filling it with German beers such as Warsteiner Dunkel and Paulaner Hefeweizen. Meanwhile, non-racers sip similar brews in the festival's biergarten, pairing their pours with sizzling bratwurst, piping-hot schnitzel, and cheers of "Prost!"
