Physical therapists record runners & evaluate gait, analyze issues & offer home exercises to help to increase performance

Though running makes for a slower commute than driving a car, it allows runners to test out their sneakers' new turn signals on the highway. Hone your speedy stride with this Groupon.

$50 for a Running-Evaluation Package ($250 Value)

Choose between the Bridgeport and Naperville locations.

During a 60- to 90-minute session, runners are videotaped with Dartfish equipment so physical therapists can analyze their personal gait. Using this video, a full-body musculoskeletal screening, and a simple function test of squats or lunges, therapists can extrapolate any issues, mechanical problems, or muscular dysfunctions inhibiting performance.

They then provide runners with a copy of the video with an analysis and explanation of any issues found, along with recommendations on correcting them with home-exercise instructions. Runners should bring appropriate running attire and the shoes and orthotics they normally run in.

About Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers

Owned and operated by physical therapists, Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers welcomes patients into a massive network of 200 centers. Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers' cohort of therapists helps to restore the strength, motor skills, and physical functions of patients.

The overarching approach is defined by a patients-first philosophy—the therapists actively listen and understand their patients' issues before crafting individual recovery programs tailored to athletes, children, industrial workers, or cartoon coyotes with anvil-related injuries. The rehab pros also serve community youth by supporting programs such as Kick It Right, a soccer program designed to enrich children's lives.
