Artisan MedSpa, Laser & Weight Loss Center

Dr. Ramin Samadi, who has been awarded the prestigious Fellow status from the American College of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Physicians, began his career as an emergency-medicine specialist in 1988 in Buffalo, New York. In just two short years, he was promoted to the position of medical director in the department, and a few years after that he became the chairman of the department of emergency medicine for Mercy Health System. He is also an expert in anti-aging skincare, and after moving to Fort Worth, he decided to open Artisan MedSpa in order to provide patients medical-grade spa services in a relaxing environment completely different than the cold, sterile, alligator-friendly hospital setting he was used to.

Patients at the spa can don plush robes and slippers in the locker room before heading to the relaxation room to unwind while sipping complimentary beverages and savoring sweet fruit. The full-service med spa further pampers patrons with various massages, body scrubs, and luxurious 23-karat-gold facials. For those interested in medical-grade services, the spa proffers hair removal, skin resurfacing, and body sculpting.

The Groupon Guide to: Preserving Leftovers

With the right techniques and a lot of luck, there's no reason that this year's holiday leftovers won't be edible next year. Here's how you can keep your scraps fresh:

  • Store food in airtight containers. To make sure there's no leak, add in a bunch of ants and see if they can survive.

  • Before storing the food, cut off any pieces that have clearly been chewed. If you don't, and the person that chewed that food isn't around for the next Thanksgiving, you'll be feeling pretty sad when you pull those leftovers out and recognize their bite pattern.

  • The freezer is your best friend, in that it will prevent food from spoiling, and your worst enemy, in that it is so perfectly sized to fit a human body and has that alluring pristinely white interior, and whenever you open the door it sounds like it's saying, "Please come inside. I'm warmer than I look." Please be careful near freezers.

  • Save your leftovers the same way our forefathers did—by feeding the scraps to their horses then hoping the horses would give them back exactly one year later.

If you think those mashed potatoes are good now, wait till you try them in a year!
