Get Fit Around the Corner’s origins can be traced back to 2009, when volunteer instructors began teaching service members and their families individual- and group-fitness training methods learned at local Georgia and Kentucky military bases. After witnessing improvement in body composition, strength, stamina, and continued learning, the trainers were inspired to bring their support-based workouts to their own community in Atlanta. Setting up shop in a small local gym, the crew packed the facility with dumbbells, pull-up bars, and resistance bands before opening its doors to clients of all ages and fitness levels.

Today, the coaches continue to lead workouts of high-intensity functional exercises, keeping a low teacher-to-student ratio to ensure individual attention and build a close, supportive community. They design each workout to boost fitness domains such as cardio, endurance, stamina, and balance while providing students with nutritional guidance that emphasizes lean meats and vegetables.
